Local small businessman with great service and prices. Call to make an appointment first as he requests and then agree on date / time. Driveway pass off of knives. 10 min later I’m back on the road. I’m a repeat customer. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you!

Armand - perhaps the gentleman with the complaint didn’t visit your website. Perhaps he drove by your property on Rte. 109, saw the sign for knife sharpening by the side of the road, and called the number on the sign as I had done. I also thought you were arrogant when I called. I asked you if I could drop off my knives for you to sharpen, and you told me, “No, you need an appointment.” I asked, “Why do I need an appointment to drop off my knives?” You replied, “You can’t drop off your knives, you have to remain here while I sharpen them.” I said, “Okay, so when can I come over with my knives”, and you replied, “Well, not now, because I’m on my way out.” That was it, and the call was over. I was flabbergasted, and came away with the impression that: (a) you were arrogant, (b) you did not value my business, and (c) you’re probably sharpening knives as a part-time business or in a semi-retirement type of situation. Whatever the case may be, you did not gain my business that day, and I did not come away from the experience as a satisfied customer. But, if I am correct with my assumptions, aforementioned, you probably don’t care. If I am wrong, and you do care about gaining new business and keeping your customers happy, you might want to change your approach to business, or change your business model entirely. Just sayin’.

I brought 5 Henckles knives to Armand and he did an excellent job! Sharp as a razor and he cleaned up one tip that was chipped. Even the serrated bread knife is deadly sharp. He also explained how to maintain the edge as long as you can. All this in 10 minutes while I waited. VERY inexpensive too! Highly recommended!

After 7 calls, I found out that he will only sharpen knives that have never been sharpened before (except by him). Please update the website to explain that even using a steel at home will not be acceptable. It would have saved me 7 phone calls. It would also be useful to put an appoinment calendar on the website. Leaving phone messages and waiting for a call back (which comes about half the time) is inefficient.

Armand is a fantastic sharpener! Very quick, and extremely affordable. Make sure you call ahead to schedule an appointment, but other than that, service was fantastic. Will be going back for the foreseeable future
