A great shop, excellent service, you won't get a haircut if you need one now, you must book weeks in advance, and expect a premium in price but is well worth it if you can do this

I have been a client of the Gentlemen’s Shop since it opened. I enjoy the atmosphere, the music and the fellas working there. Brett has been my barber for 10 years plus. He is very skilled at his profession. Brett and Andrew are to be commended for their successful business. Well done guys s!

These guys give the best haircuts in BC hands down. I used to live in Vernon and have since moved away but will not trust any other barber shop to cut my hair. I knew I had a planned trip to Vernon in the next couple months and thought i’d call in to book an appt before they filled up as I know how busy of a shop they run. I called, received no answer, and thought no big deal, i’ll try again tomorrow, the guys are always working hard in there (I have been getting my haircut here before and had my barber step away to answer a phone call which I had 0 problems with them doing). I have now called 6 or 7 times to attempt to make an appointment for the short period of time I will be visiting Vernon, to get a haircut before my birthday, and have had nobody answer once. I am aware they have an online self serve booking system for appointments but this requires you to put in your credit card info in case of a last minute cancellation which not everyone may have access to a credit card. It is at the point now that the date and time I was attempting to make an appointment for is now fully booked and I can’t help but feel disappointed that not a single one of my multiple call attempts could be answered.

Visiting from Los Angeles and needed a cut. Not to sound elitist (funny, but when you hear that phrase, the next sentence is going to sound pretty pompous and elitist), but they take their haircuts very seriously around LA. So it was nice to find a spot away from home that carried the same vibe. These are barbers that treat haircuts with a craftsmanship that you don't find. They are meticulous and take their time, and not some barber shop that will shuttle people in and out of their chairs to make a profit by volume. My barber, Josh was simply awesome; attentive to what I wanted, but also was able to cut my hair in a manner and style I didn't consider. I appreciate a spot where walk-ins are welcome; because places of this quality and caliber usually are appointment only where I'm from, and for good reason. They also take Apple Pay, which is a plus. In a place filled with quality barber spots, I would love to transplant this place and put it close to where I live. I would be a regular for sure if I lived here in Vernon.

If I could give 6 stars I would! Sam is a fantastic barber and a great guys to talk with. Got my haircut in preparation for my wedding this summer and loved the look he gave me. Very excited to come beach before the big day for another! Can’t recommend booking with my man Sam enough

Excellent service, felt super welcomed both times I’ve been. Sam MacLachlan is an absolute gem, fantastic skills and super accommodating - has some of the best stories I’ve ever heard and makes me laugh every time.Great haircut, great guy - cannot recommend highly enough.
