Edge Academy

I had a great time learning at Edge Academy. My Instructor was very thorough in her delivery of lectures, and she breaks it down so simply that it is hard not to understand. On the job, the things I was thought come flooding my mind and helps me give quality and safe service to those I serve. I am very grateful for this.I also particularly liked the way the staff were always available to their students, you will never feel alone, they always worked and walked with us. Learning here was quite a unique experience and I would recommend Edge Academy to anyone who wants a career as a Personal Support Worker.

Working with Pauline and Ed was amazing, they were always available when needed be it via email or phone call , very patient ,kind and they're great educators too. They both take their time explaining when asked questions or when teaching. I loved Paulines style of teaching ,she's got a big heart and loves what she does I would recommend Edge Academy to anyone that wants to enter the Healthcare field , you won't regret it at all under Paulines guidance. If Pauline ever became a nurse instructor I would not even hesitate to be taught by her one more time.

I have a wonderfull experience learning at Edge Accademy. Pauline is a amazing teacher, teaching in a passionate way that make us feel confortable and entusiastic to learn. the material used to teach is very well prepared and I felt all the support i needed to learn the skills I needed to become a best PSW I could be. I decided to go back to school at 52 years old. I have never felt so comfortable and encouraged as I did with Pauline (my teacher)She is a fantastic teacher and she and her husband Ed run an amazing school. If anyone of us had any questions... she was right there to help answer them at any given time.The PSW course at this school is fantastic and I recommend anyone looking to take it, to do it at Edge Academy. The smaller classes compared to a regular college make learning easier and definitely more personal.If I had to do it over I would come back to Edge Academy again! Thanks for making learning easier and all of the support given!

Both Pauline and Ed are informative, encouraging, passionate friendly people who made my experience returning to school at age 43 unforgettable. The pandemic started a month after the program and so both Pauline and Ed had to manage our in class program to a zoom call/class for the remainder. They kept the class going with such transparency I never felt lost or uninformed. The passion both Pauline and Ed have for their students is extraordinary. I’m very proud and say it with such confidence that I took the PSW program at Edge Academy.

Edge Academy is a great college to study Personal Support Worker (PSW) program. The program is simplified to cater to everyone in learning, understanding, and adapting to the PSW role easily. Pauline is a fantastic, knowledgeable, and highly skilled educator that teaches and guides us thoroughly throughout the program. Ed as the administrator is very flexible and provides assistance during my learning journey. Moreover, I am new to Canada, yet the team has fully supported me and ensured I succeed in this program. Thank you very much to Pauline & Ed.

Enrolled in the PSW course at Edge Academy September 2020 during the COVID pandemic, all classes were online but Pauline and Ed were well organized and we rolled with it. Edge Academy is accommodating, instructor is top-notch and well informed etc. I was comfortable and well-prepared going into my clinical and community placements, and the support provided by Edge Academy was constant and ongoing throughout the whole process. I would whole heartily recommend Edge Academy to any prospective PSW student!

EDGE Academy is one Academy l can recommend for anyone ,anytime over and over .I'm very proud to be a product of the Academy, privileged to pass through this great Academy in order to make my dreams come into reality.l don't have a medical educational background and from Nigeria,West Africa ,the time difference was a bit challenging for me but special thanks to Pauline and Ed they made the journey to becoming a certified PSW smooth, easy and not cumbersome for me. I'm so impressed with their quick responses to e-mails .The teachings were so deep and detailed , visiting me during my placement made every bit of the journey worthwhile.Thank you Pauline, Ed and my classmates they all contributed to my accomplishment.

I attended Edge Academy for their PSW Program in 2020.  Although it has been 3 years since, I will never forget the amazing experience -- the kindness of Pauline and Ed, and the beautiful people I got to meet and learn with.  Pauline created a welcoming and caring environment for the students, and we were all very willing and eager to help each other out when needed.  Pauline is one of the loveliest people I have ever met.  She is professional and excellent at teaching the theory and skills required to become a successful PSW.  During the time when Covid hit and we were all required to stay home, Pauline and Ed were incredible and quickly transitioned us from in-person to online learning.  The clinical placement was also a very valuable experience, and to be able to apply what we learned in class to actively providing care for people in a long term care home was wonderful and I was extremely thankful for all we learned from Pauline to prepare us.  I highly recommend Edge Academy.  Thanks again, Pauline and Ed, for a very memorable and positive learning experience.

My experience at the Edge Academy was absolutely wonderful. I was so nervous about returning to school in my mid 40's and Pauline and Ed were so supportive and encouraging. Pauline is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She teaches the material simply and makes sure you understand before moving forward. She is always available by phone or email if you ever feel stuck on something she is always there to help.
