Honestly the best location in North York. Luke actually cares about video games and understands video games so anytime I go in there, I always leave happy and end up trying a new game or something. Hire more people like Luke that actually know what there talking about when it comes to video games!

Unfortunately the staff here are unwilling to help much at all.I went in to purchase some games and not one of the three staff present offered any help to myself or the other lady who was in the store when I arrived. They were content to sit behind their counter chatting. Their manager (I only found out his role on my return visit) was doing something on his phone and asked me to wait by way of a held up finger as he finished up his activity when I walked up to the counter to ask a question and cash out. One staff member had disappeared (maybe to restock something?) The last staff member did not offer any help either when I turned to them. I waited for phone guy, settled up, and left.About a week and a half later I returned to the location to refund one of the 4 games I had purchased along with my switch. I handed the staff member the bundle of receipts I had been provided with and was told that the original receipt was not included, only the gift receipts (I had asked for a gift receipt for on of the games as it was a Christmas present For a friend ). I mentioned to the guy at the register (whose name I did not catch) that this was all the paperwork I had been given. He said there was nothing they could do except provide store credit. Knowing from my own experience that store/shift managers are able to provide solutions newer staff are not able to, I asked to speak to his manager.The manager said that they couldn’t do anything other than store credit without the original receipt. I explained that I was handing them all the paperwork I was given. He argued it was impossible that I didn’t have a receipt.I was also informed by the manager that they have no way to look up receipts short of emailing a corporate support team that would retrieve and send them the receipt in a couple of days. I argued for a good while that this was not really a sufficient solution as it meant another trip back. I said that I have worked retail and I’ve always been able to provide customers with refunds if I can verify where the purchase was made. I was told that “if [I] really worked in retail” I would have known that it was impossible for them to provide a refund in the given scenario. During the course of the argument I was also told that no retail store is able to lookup past transactions, which is quite a revelation as I do this very act on a routine basis, and have seen it done by staff working for the company before it was rebranded/restructured to GameStop.I opted to settle for a store credit when the manager showed he was unwilling to offer anything else as far as solutions go. I told him that him calling me a liar wasn’t really appropriate and that I would be returning my entire purchase once their support team provided them my original receipt. This was met with the response “I don’t care if you return your entire purchase, telling me about it is malicious and I really would prefer if you didn’t do business here. You can buy your games at another store”Not a great shopping experience, not a great return experience.As a contrast on the same day I Made another stop at a local computer parts store in the loose vicinity. Another return of roughly the same value for which I had no paperwork, this time my fault since it was an unplanned stop. I said as much at the return counter. I was in and out in 5 minutes with a full refund (with no real issues) to debit since I also had left the original credit card at home. This return was also not even made to the original store, rather in an entirely different city.

This is the place where I finally got my ps5 and is now my casual place to buy games now.They are very helpful and even great when giving you some information on any game or equipment that you want to know or buy.

Just amazed that I received excellent customer service for an accessories issue - new OLED Nintendo Switch. The selection was pretty good in this area of the store. This store has a wide variety of systems, platforms, used and new games. The store is pretty much organized and features a range of options for gaming, collectibles, and accessories.

Friendly staff. However, they aren't the most transparent when preordering games. I preordered a game that was advertised to come with a limited edition case. When I picked it up, I did not receive it. I asked about it and the cashier said that it was limited quanities and thus I did not receive it. I ordered it specifically for the case. These are things that should be transparently disclosed when ordering and not after the fact because informed decisions are made from such information.

Nice staff and awesome collection of products. You have to look carefully because (of course) some items are cheaper on Amazon. That being said, if you DO look a bit you will see a lot of items of great value especially the pre-played games. And wow - their Funko Pop collection is much better than most Gamestops out there. Convenient parking too.

Stopped by today to pick up the Starfield headset and controller. Luke was incredibly enthusiastic about the game and shared his excitement about the Starfield Direct, including the vast amount of content the game offered.This interaction alone made this store my favorite GameStop in the city. It was pleasant to interact with a friendly and passionate gamer.
