Amazing pizza and fantastic hospitality!Family run pizzeria and they make you feel welcome. The restaurant is elegant and spotless.Best wood fired pizza experience I have ever had. The food was really really good. My partner and I shared two different pizzas and they were both very flavourful and loaded with ingredients. I would have given 5 stars for the food alone. However, the service wasn't that great. We were the only table on the patio and it seemed like our server forgot about us once we ordered. After delivering the food, no one came to check on us to see how everything was and if we needed anything, which we did. I would definitely still come back though!

Overall a good Italian pizza but I had better. We got the vegetarian pizza and the mushroom pizza. The used raw vegetables like tomatoes and pepper on the pizza and that made it so runny and soft. Other than that everything was good. The mushroom pizza was excellent. I will definitely go back.

Amazing food today. The service was excellent. The owners offered to open the garage door for us to be able to eat with our dog. The La Mela pizza and focaccia bread was incredible! Thank you for a lovely lunch.

The best pizza in town!! The staff were so friendly we spoke with Nav and amrat (probably spelt these wrong) but they were so friendly and the restaurant owner even came to check if we were enjoying our food. Great food and great service :)

5 stars. Service amazing. Owner is super friendly. I am a New Yorker that knows good pizza. I was shocked to find this here. Wood fired Pizza next level out of this world good!! Don’t walk.. run to eat here.

Pizza is rustic, brings out the wood flavor. Better than Antico I would say, their only competitor in downtown. But if you are a conventional pizza eater, you might not like it as the ingredients added are pretty less but its an Italian pizza. Having said that I would like to admit that the quality of the ingredients used are top notch. Base sauce is good, different from the rest, tasted fresh. Salami and cheese also tasted good. Pizza is expensive on the take out apps like skip the dishes, uber eats but little less in the store. You may also get an offer on these apps so look out for them. Experience could be better if you sit and enjoy I believe. Also the Pizza box was plain brown box, I expected a branding on the box. And lastly, the selection of the pizzas are limited. Overall good but not great!

We arrived and asked to be seated on patio and was done very prompt and choosing our seat. Appies and drinks first were so full of flavor and very fresh tasting food . And then pizza had a cheese blend bursting with flavor again and a rustic meat pizza which was out of this world with a great tomato sauce base topped with spicy and bold tasting meats combined with perfect amount of cheese . Certainly won't be our last visit .Troy, Jessica and Camryn

If you are thinking about going here, stop thinking about it and just go. Hands down best pizza downtown Kelowna. Service was fantastic. Great location. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis. La Vela Pizzeria is a great addition to Bernard!
