Hunter Valley Adventures

A group of 5 friends and myself went White Water Rafting with HVA on July 9, 2022. First off I'd like to say I was really nervous, like terrified to do this. To get onto that raft took me a lot of courage.Shae and Jeffery were our guides down river and I have to say that they were both absolutely amazing. I am legally blind, so have coke bottle glasses. I had my glasses strapped up very well, but did let them know if I lost them I'd be blind. They were so kind and said they would make sure we got back safely if this did happen. I had every confidence in them.The other guides on other rafts or kayak were wonderful. All so friendly, helpful and simply amazing.Both of them were fantastic at getting us down river and we had an absolute blast. Not once did I feel unsafe. I cannot wait to go again next year.I went from scared to death to excited for our next adventure with them!

We booked a full day rafting trip for a girls weekend, Aug 2022. Jeffrey was our guide, Kelly was our safety & photographer, and there were 6 of us.First off, most of us were extremely anxious because we hadn’t done anything like this before. Jeffrey made sure to start us off in the most tame spots of the river, with little tiny waves, to get us used to everything. He and Kelly gradually built us up to a few bigger splashes and a couple of spins going down the small drops. They knew how to read the river very well and kept us safe while having a ton of fun.We had the best experience and I would book Hunter Valley Adventures again in a heartbeat!

I had a great time white-water kayaking the other day. Jon did a fantastic job of preparing me for what we were approaching and letting me know about the river. I also want to mention that Shea spotted and pointed out a pair of bald eagles. Great eye! Great trip!

CRAZY FUN. I booked the sport rafting trip we a buddy. This trip is a small raft with 2-3 guests and a guide. Kelly was our guide and she was a rockstar. Pair yourself with a good paddler and she will hit all the best spots on the river. Less than 2 hours from Calgary

HVA is a jewel! Owners Kelly and Shay (sp?) continue to grow and keep this historic base camp a fun, functional, off the grid experience. The raft guides were incredible. Vic, Jen and AJ (in training) made everyone relaxed and we had a phenomenal time. Great experience with the Women Who Explore group!

Went for half day and had the best time, the staff and the owners were all so nice. I can’t recommend this place enough. The river is absolutely beautiful. This was our first time rafting and was great for having no experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Kelly and Austin ran a superb trip for us on the River! Very fun and professional from two great guides. Definitely gave our first timers an excellent experience.

Incredible experience!! Our guide Leila was clearly very experienced and able to read the river to ensure incredible fun but also our safety! The confidence in our guide and the all the team made the thrill so much more enjoyable! The river and surrounding scenery itself was beautiful and soul restoring!

Our family would highly recommend this company. Shae & Kelley were awesome hosts. I loved that they took pictures of our group along the way and sent them to us. Overall, great experience!

Our group hit the river for a full day girls trip, and what an amazing day! 5 out of the 6 girls were first timers and definitely anxious, but our guides Jeffery and Kelly were outstanding!Their safety first approach gave us confidence that we were in good hands at all times, and their expertise combined with super fun personalities delivered an exciting and adrenaline boosting day.The scenery was incredible and the rapids did not disappoint!You don't need to stray very far out your own backyard to experience in a vacation worthy" adventure right here in beautiful Alberta. Only advice I would have to anyone looking to book; Ladies...wear a 2 piece swimsuit! It won't see the light of day under your gear
