Very nice park, very big. The gift shop was cute. Had lots of information and good prices. Beautiful walking trails. Every time we've gone we have seen bison too. Staff and nice as well

Elk Island National Park Visitor Centre
Visitor centre tells a great story of the bison and what conservation work is being done. As it is not a zoo, you have to work a bit harder to find the animals in the park but very good. We actually saw the bison from outside the fenced area.

Great place to see bison running free. Possibility for tons of other wildlife. Lots of stopping places and small hikes. Beautiful landscape and scenery.

Great place to spend the day!Tons of trails all different distances the longest is 6km and paved. Tons of picnic tables and fire pits to have a meal. Great tourist shop as well were all my questions were answered

Nice visitor center. Lots of neat info about the park and its history. Some very nice kids books about the park and the outdoors in general. Many merch items for sale. Bathrooms were clean. Threw me off a little to have to put a mask back on to go inside. I guess Covid restrictions are still around in Federal run buildings.
