This is my first time purchasing meat at Ottawa Valley Meat. One of the guys there was quite friendly. I was looking for pork belly and other beef items which were not available. I asked if he could recommend tender fat pork and beef steaks for pan fry and he did. After cooking, i found that the meat was quite chewy and didnt taste as good as expected. I think the pork cut should only use for stew and the beef would only be better if cut into slices and tenderize. The price were pricey compared to other grass fed meat shops.

I began ordering from Ottawa Valley Meats at the start of the pandemic and have stayed with them since. I’m not a big meat consumer so what I do eat, I prefer to be grass fed, humanely raised and of course, local. Quality of the meat is outstanding and not far beyond what you’re paying for in grocery stores. I highly recommend splitting bigger orders with family if need be. I love that they sell beef bones for high quality bone broth as well.

I like their idea of partnering with the local farmers. I therefore gave them a try when I came to see my family in Ottawa. The Tomahawk Steak I got was massive, around 3 lbs. After 45 mins of grilling, it came out perfectly juicy and tender. It's unbeatable.

I'm a first time customer. Just received my order yesterday. I made chili with the ground beef! I'm absolutely blown away with the difference in the taste of the beef! I'm extremely impressed! I can't wait to try everything else in my order! Will definitely order again!!!Update: the bacon wrapped chicken medallions are amazing! I'll definitely be stocking up!!!

The meat is excellent as well as the selection. Comes vacuum sealed and frozen in small quantities. The animals are raised ethically and consciously, something I am passionate about. Ottawa Valley meats delivers with a minimum order which is totally worth it.

Ordering process is easy and you can pick and choose what you want, which I love. I always order enough to get free delivery which is a huge plus for me. Everything tastes amazing. It’s true that happy free range animals make better tasting meat. I also feel better knowing that the animals were well treated and actually got to feel the sun on them, which many factory farmed animals never do. Keep up the great work!
