THE TEN SPOT

I've been coming to this Ten Spot location for a few months and have always had a perfect experience.Kayra gives the best manicures and pedicures I've ever had, with the cleanest cuticle work - I literally left my old salon I frequented for a decade because of her perfectionism.I've also recently had a facial with Ilgin that left my skin so clean and glowing; looking forward to my next.Happy to have found this location!

Great neighbourhood place for nails and hair removal services. I like that it’s clean, bright, and spacious. There’s a minimal waiting area, just one seat but I guess you won’t expect to wait long to get your service started, so far I haven’t had to wait at all, which is great.

Made a manicure appointment a while ago for my daughter's wedding and the Ten Spot just called and cancelled it - don't have a technician available. Hugely disappointing! So much for booking well in advance! A shame - close to home so had been hoping it would become a go to place for me.

TLDR: I expect better attention to details and better skills from the technicians for the prices. Shellac mani 4/5. Regular mani 1/5 at best.Received a gift card so decided to give this location a try. Once for shellac mani and another for regular mani.Pros: Good colour selections and very clean. Staff seems friendly.Cons:For shellac, was generally okay but the technician didn’t catch a dust particle on one of the nails. So my nails got baked with it. I would still give the shellac mani a 4 star - the technician was great otherwise and I felt taken care of.Regular mani was terrible. I had booked the appointment to get some cuticle care but the technician didn’t push back my cuticles at all. When I asked her to work on my cuticles, she said that she couldn’t because they weren’t dead skin. The technician from my previous visit at this location (and from other nail shops) had no issues with it before so I’m not sure where the disconnect had come from.She also did a very poor job in applying the polish - not thorough and uneven distribution. I don’t expect regular polish to stay long but I had hoped for the longevity to be improved as done by a professional. That was not the case and it felt like the technician lacked experience/skills. To be completely honest, I have had a friend, who’s not a professional but paints her nails often, do a better job. I didn’t feel it was worth the price at all and would give the regular mani a 1 star at best.I’m glad I gave the place a try but I would not go back, especially without a gift card. There are so many other better places that make you feel the experience was worth it.

Second time with Alyssa!! Shes fantastic!!! Alyssa took her time and gave me exactly what I wanted! This is a great place to get a manicure if you need a clean and reliable place to go.but honestly everyone here is great .Highly recommend!Thanks again ,Alyssa♥️

Love love love this location! I’ve been coming for the gel overlay with Meg for a few months now and it’s always amazing, I’ve never had such consistently high quality extensions/ overlay. I’ve also done waxing and laser at this ten spot and all services are 10/10. All the staff are so skilled, professional and kind- shout out to kyra and Katrina as well!

I got a shellac manicure here but wasn't completely satisfied at first. So, when I shared it with them, they were so nice and friendly and offered me a couple of options to compensate for the bad experience. I accepted one, and I thank them again for doing this :)

The salon is very clean and the staff are very kind and accommodating. The facial was an unbelievable price point and the care and detail was outstanding. The massage portion in particular was fabulous and I enjoyed the products as well - felt relaxed and refreshed! I would highly recommend <3

I don't normally write reviews, but my experience was quite bad.The young lady doing my toes at the time was trying to reassure me and tell me that Ten Spot only hired licensed staff (it was my first time and I told her I don't do pedicures too often because i'm squeemish) so I felt confident that my treatment would turn out well. Not only did she make 2 of my toes bleed , but she didn't even bother to scrub my foot, and said that reason the bottom of my foot is like that is because it was just dry. If that wasn't enough, when I got home, I realized the nail polished didn't dry properly on my big toe so the polish ended up getting ruined.The staff was friendly and nice, but in terms of quality of the service, it wasn't great, so for that reason I definitely will not be going back.

They didn’t do whatever I asked and kept saying that it is not good for your skin, they realised that I’m not happy so the manager called me but she mostly wasting my time with useless information like “we are franchise and we can’t do whatever you requested and we have to obey the franchise rules.”The massage was really just touching my feet and it was not something that I really wanted to use next time to relief the tiredness.The nail polish came off when I was in the shop. I will send some photo of my nail polishing to show you the Unprofessionalism of the girl who did it for me. There is a step in my nail polish, I asked her to make it smooth but she said it will disappear but it didn’t. They didn’t even manicure and I asked them one by one to do my nail and sometimes I asked them to give me the equipment to do the manicure by myself.I paid 110 dollar for washing my hand and feet really.I never go back and do not recommend to anybody to go to the franchise Spa like them.
