Cool place. Nice to spend some time with your kids.We went there thinking it was going to be small like Fort Gibraltar and spent 2.5 hours learning story.Employees do role playing telling their stories about their jobs at the Fort

Lower Fort Garry Historic Site was a great visit. Staff was very friendly and approachable. The interpreters were very knowledgable and great with kids. Site is clean and easy to navigate - highly recommend!

My visit was last summer but forgot to postI wish it could be 5 star but sadly management has killed this wonderful place.1 most buildings were closed to visitors and role playing staff even encouraged me to complain. Pay full price to have literally most of the buildings amd tours closed off.2. This is a racist place. Depending on you race you may get in for free!!!!! Regardless of reason for this policy it is against the charter of rights by treating people differently based on their race. Sadly it seems many tourist sites are doing this why are we allowing this to happen? Treating a group differently is wrong no matter what the reason this is racist and encourages people to treat a groups differently creating more racism when will people understand this?

Its the place where you will see the piece of history nostalgic

It was a terrific day trip .... don't be like me check the weather. The times I went were / always seems to be HOT HOT HOT. You should spend a couple of hours or an afternoon exploring. Great place to take the kids for a history lesson.

This place is very nice and has great history. It's well maintained and there are people around to explain to you the uses and the history. If you love history and like forts this is a perfect place to visit. My kids loved it too.

This place reminded me at once of the TV series Outlander" season 4 onwards. Surprisingly

Love taking our kiddos here to explore the well-preserved site of Lower Fort Garry. This is a national historic site that has just reopened with live interpreters dressed in mid-19th century costume. Currently, you are unable to go into any of the historical buildings but many of the contents are on display outside. Treaty One is 150 years old this year and there is a special activity set up around this. It's a beautiful way to spend 2-3 hours. Restrooms are open.

There was a tour guide with a Canada flag tattoo on his arm. He was very rude and unprofessional, joking about mental health issues to a school group of teenagers, he was also calling out and angrily directing himself to specific students. There was an activity that was disclosed as a game, as soon as we finished, he called out the winners. As we celebrated, he yelled at us and told us we should feel depressed for the topic we are learning about. Overall not a good time at all. Every other staff member was fantastic. Cool site, good A/C, but my experience was ruined by said individual.
