Made a few purchases from these guys, they have always been ok, prices are fair and service was good.Today there was an issue... went to purchase 6 rolls of sod and aggregate and they brought them out to my car (instead of picking them up at the barn as I have done in the past) I was in a rush so didn’t have time to inspect them, take them home and they are COOKED, very warm to the touch decomposed, burned, and likely from yesterday or worse and already decomposing.I called in to let them know and they were nice and willing to return them. This was good but of no help to me, stone yard is 25min away from my house and I have three little kids and a wife that works, takes forever to find some free time to finish a project. Ended up throwing out half the rolls, put out three of them and they look so bad. Really disappointed. Going to throw some topsoil and seed out and write off the $24 worth of garbage sod they dumped on me. Don’t really understand why a retailer would do this to a small order, I would be handpicking the best 6 rolls I have instead of bottom of the pallet garbage....Three stars as I have not had an issue during past visits and hopefully this is an isolated incident.

We can't say enough good things about Fisher Hyde Park. We have been getting our landscaping products from them for years, so when it came time to order dirt (and we needed ALOT of dirt,) we went to see John.John has a lot of experience and gave us great advice about types of dirt and amounts that we would need. His honesty resulted in excellent product that ended up saving us money.Because of the amount of dirt we needed, we had to rent a bobcat to move it. One of our concerns was the bobcat sitting idle (costing us $) while trying to coordinate truck deliveries. Well, we didn't have to worry a bit. Every time we called John and asked for dirt, Larry showed up so quick! And Larry is a pro when it comes to operating his 20 yard truck, having dumped the dirt exactly on our driveway as opposed to the grass and neighbour's property. This made clean up really easy.We leave reviews when they are deserved, and in this case John, Larry and Fisher Hyde Park have earned 5 stars from us. We highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Went to look at stones before purchasing. 2 people in tractors (within seconds of each other) drove up to me ordering me back into my car (I was standing outside my car looking at the product to make a decision). Was told they no longer allow filling of our own buckets (I had no buckets with me) and only large quantities of slabs can be purchased in ordered a week in advance. Staff did not have answers to my questions and were not helpful. We loved this place when it was Fishers. Will not be shopping here.

Friendly staff, great products. We bought compost from these guys, they delivered it to our driveway (I had a tarp down) and it was PERFECT. For smaller stuff, they have a place in S. London for bags of, say, smaller compost. :)

Have used Fisher's for many years to buy mulch. This year decided to transform a 40 X 40 section of our 1/2 acre lot into a mulch and rock garden. Went to Fisher's to get the rocks and mulch. We chose a rock but didn't actually purchase it. The following week after making our decision on how we wanted the area to look, I called Fisher's to ask if I could order the aggregate material, flagstone and rock over the phone. I was told it would be better to come in. I had been hoping to get it delivered the following day and explained that was why I had called. The lady on the desk, said that was no problem, she would pencil me in for the following day as there was room in the delivery, however I needed to make it in that day before 5 or the next day when they opened at 7:30. I missed the 5 o'clock deadline but was there for 7:30 the next morning. Imagine my surprise when another employee (driver) said I wasn't on the delivery schedule and how could I expect to be as I called the day before. I explained that the woman on the desk had added me to the schedule and told me to come in. He said that couldn't be the case because they wouldn't add me the delivery roster only 1 day in advance and asked if I was sure I had called Fisher's and did I know who I spoke to. I explained that yes I knew where I called and no I didn't know the person's name as they didn't offer it...nor did he!! He proceeded to tell me I wasn't on the schedule and there was no way I could be on the schedule. I pointed out to him that I was confused as to how he would know I wasn't on the delivery roster as he didn't once look for a note or at...anything...or...ask MY NAME!!! VERY poor service. A simple, sorry for the miscommunication would have sufficed and I would have completed the order and left with a delivery date of the following week, sad that I missed out but realizing it was a lot to ask to get on the delivery schedule within a day. Instead I left with a very poor taste in my mouth because of his obnoxious condescending behaviour. I have now gone to a competitor (Grand River in Lambeth) and placed my order. They were willing to help me pick my stone and discuss delivery options and the gentleman helping us even told me his name and asked me mine!! They just got a new customer not only for our landscaping needs this fall but for our annual mulch order. This in spite of being a little further away and a little more delivery cost. I would never have searched Grand River out if not for the poor service of Fisher's as they are less convenient. However, customer service is king...it beats convenience and even price! Anyone can sell a rock gentlemen. I feel no need to spend my hard earned money somewhere where the staff give me incorrect information and then are rude to me!

good service and cheap deliver price, but poor quality. I ordered 3/4 crushed stone, most of them are stone dust.

This past Friday I had ordered 4 yards of 2 way soil and 2 yards of mulch. About 2:30pm hits, and the sky turned black. I was expecting a PM delivery - so I called Fisher's to tell them to pause my order for the storm since I wasn't prepared for rain and didn't want a soupy mess on my front lawn.The lady I spoke with told me it was a curtain of rain at the store (about 2km from me) so I knew the storm was on route to me. She told me the driver just left, and that if I sent him home they would charge me another delivery fee.The driver arrived as I was on the phone - I ran out as the winds were whipping and asked if we could tarp the load and wait the small storm cell - he laughed and said he had more deliveries to complete and just proceeded to start lifting the truck....I have been thinking and thinking about this experience. In what world does this terrible customer service get a pass? NONE. Totally unacceptable and all this demonstrated to me was Fisher's is ONLY interested in a quick transaction and DOES NOT CARE about the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Sure, there commodity is dirt and stones, but we have options as consumers and there are lots to call. The storm was quick but the rain was intense and it caused a massive mud pile all because a rep on the phone could care less, and a busy driver with zero customer service skills just cared about completing his deliveries so he could finish for the day. 10 minutes would have fixed it all...….but they made the decisions they made and I'm done with Fishers. Done.

I went to Fisher's for a yard of soil. The front end loader driver was rude and mean. I talked to the manager. He informed me that his driver can be rude and snap at people and tell them what to do. When I responded, Not customers." His answer was

Picked up 3 way garden soil, 2 yards terrible quality lots of clay/river rocks/grass chunks. Not impressed. Picked up 2 yards 2 days prior and itwasn't bad. Very disappointing.
