Ron & his guys are awesome; courteous, professional, and accommodating of special requests. Even while on other jobs (as all busy contractors juggle jobs!), Ron made sure to address any concerns that arose about our reno project in a timely manner. If you want work done right the first time and by guys who know their stuff, Dahl Mechanical is who to call.

When my hot water tank broke down, the crew was at my house the next morning with a new tank. They were prompt and courteous.

We contacted the owner back in October to come and hook up our heat pump. He strung us along for over 2 months and kept putting it off until he finally just stopped answering my calls. At that point is was well into the cold season and we were back to the bottom of everyone else's wait list. Finally found someone else for mid January. Can't help but be resentful that we got strug along for so long and then left hanging, especially since we are in desperate need of heat this time of year.

Called over a year ago with a boiler problem. Ron, Seemed responsive. I sent him photos of the error code, make and model. Again seemed responsive to get a part. He charged me to pick up the part, and for the part. Wanting to treat local trades well, I went by his place and paid for the part and for his time to pick it up...which was on the way to Castlegar, a place he must pass all the time. I know I do, and I could have picked it up, to avoid paying him the hour for him to pick it up.Since then Ron has ghosted me. It has been well over a year with many calls and texts to him to arrange a time for him to install it. No return calls, no return texts. When he must have 'accidentlally' answered his phone one time I called, he said text him and he will be sure to get on it, as he isn't good about the phone. He never returned the subsequent texts or calls. The part I paid for him to pick up and that I paid for is still not installed, even though he declared how important it was it be installed. (I trust that I do need the part, but if I need it so bad, where is the service to install such a necessary part!). Disappointed in the extreme by this behaviour. I sense Ron falls into the category of 'partially retired', and only works on what he deems he wants to, and to hell with being honest with anyone about his lack of desire to follow up, thus leaving people hanging. I identify with the other people who feel strung along and ignored. What an exercise in frustration and annoyance. If you aren't going to do the work, just say so, and stop wasting everyone's time and effort. ..at least mine. I have only left one review prior to this for glowing service of another Kootenay local company. I only thought to leave this realistic experience, as I am now hunting down a plumber who may actually return calls or texts.If you are buddies with him, I am sure he does good work. If you are a potential new customer, my advice is to keep looking if you have the option.

Had a sump pump installed and other pipe repairs in the basement of my home. Highly recommended services. Dahl Mechanical you are now my go-to - plumber. Thank you for your great work.

Great service - fast, friendly and reasonable. My water heater gave up this week and Dahl Mechanical were there within the hour. Within 2 hours, I had a new water heater and everyone could have a nice warm shower again. Highly recommended!
