Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
Love this place, not officially an off leash area but that's what most people do. Lots of dogs from morning till evening, friendly people. Lots of water, trees, fields and trails. Just remember to stop walking and let the dogs play, Recommend, 20 min drive from Fairview mall.

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
Absolutely gorgeous. There is a nice 4.5 km loop that you can do that takes you through a field, forests and around the grand and ponds. Nice place to take your dog for a walk or a swim, as the pond gradually gets deeper and has multiple mini beaches. A lot of dog owners DO NOT leash their dogs (technically this is not an off leash park, KW Humane does occasionally come around to give tickets), so make sure that your dog is okay with that. There is also a nice field to work on recall.

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
I had read the reviews prior to going and the off-leash remarks concerned me but I thought maybe people were exaggerating...nope, they weren't. Even before we got on the trail we came upon a dog off leash (Husky photo). We had four dogs all on leashes. We saw probably 20 dogs within the hour we were there (we did the loop twice), all off leash. I would LOVE to let my dog off leash too, but rules are rules for a reason. Otherwise, we all loved our walk, it's a beautiful spot!

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
A great place to walk your dogs or just take a walk. The road is not maintained in the winter and very bumpy. Do wear your rubber boots as it was muddy in February.

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
A great place to spend the day. There are 4 or 5 nice ponds her for fishing. Also seems to be some sort of dog park. Dogs were everywhere but we all very friendly. There are many trails to explore and the whole area is very clean. I suggest spending some time here. Some very big fish in the ponds. Hope to catch one someday:)

Nice open spaces for dog walking good trails for nature lovers, great lakes for fishing, clean well maintained. Would be difficult for wheelchairs but doable on the main paths. No swimming in lakes dogs excepted.

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
As long as those who actually use this space continue to clean up after themselves. This will continue to be a wonderful place to go and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of nature. Waterloo Region is incredibly lucky to have such nice place to relax and enjoy the surroundings with friends, swim and or walk the many groomed paths with your dog.

Snyder's Flats Conservation Area
Love this place! Beautiful trails great for the dogs. However be careful, there has been some recent occurrence of a man with a grey mustache hiding in bushes looking directly at us with binoculars and a note pad. Makes me feel uneasy. Keeps your children and fur babies safe!
