Authentic Korean Rice Wine Experience at Vancouver's Lee Bros Rice Wine Brewery, VANMAK!I was thrilled that Korean Rice Wine Brewery VANMAK open its store in DT! This hidden gem offers a unique and authentic experience for those who appreciate the art of traditional Korean rice wine, known as makgeolli. They are known for Korean and the store was in Coquitlam and it was hard to get easily due to distance. They finally open in DT by the Rogers Arena!The Chestnut makgeolli, my fave at the VANMAK is a perfect blend of sweet and nutty flavors. The aroma of roasted chestnuts was heavenly, and the taste was smooth, refreshing, and slightly sweet, with a hint of chestnut flavor that lingered on the palate. It was a truly authentic and traditional Korean taste I missed and you never been tried from beer, wine, or other liquors!The ambiance of the brewery was cozy and inviting, with a rustic and traditional decor that added to the overall experience. They also offered a wide selection of other makgeolli, plain and flavors to choose from, which I can't wait to try on my next visit!If you're a fan of Korean culture or looking to try something new, I highly recommend visiting the Korean Rice Wine Brewery in Vancouver and trying their Chestnut makgeolli. It's a unique and authentic experience that will transport your taste buds to Korea. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their offerings. Nice to see VANMAK in downtown Vancouver. Their Makgeolli fresh rice wine is amazing. Makgeolli contains various metabolic compounds such as proteins, sugars, vitamins, bioactive compounds, and organic acids, making it a healthy beverage without any chemical additives. 100% handcrafted, full of probiotics with locally sourced ingredients.And their food is also amazing. I tried their Korean Pork Belly buckwheat noodles salad. Perfect airing with their Makgeolli fresh rice wine.

Literally the best makgeolli you can find! Way better than the generic makgeolli you find in stores. Since it is homemade so you can taste the quality and love went into the rice wine. The owner was so nice, you can tell he takes lots of pride in his product. The place was small but lovely! Hopefully they will stay in this location since it is so convienent.

The best makegolli! Our favorite was the chestnut rice wine. They also sell Snow Goose products which is a Chinese-Canadian brand that does rice whisky and rice wines. Only open from Fri-Sun 3-9pm but definitely make the time to come here

Absolutely THE best makgeolli you can get outside of Korea!Ever since moving to Canada I have missed the taste and variety of makgeolli back in Korea. I always found the makgeolli available in most liquor stores in BC to be too sweet.I'm extremely happy to say that I have finally found it here at Lee Bros Winery!Their makgeolli is honestly some of the best I've ever had in my life and the owners are some of the nicest and most passionate people I've ever had the pleasure to meet.I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars!

Super happy that they opened a downtown location!!! They have a few flavours of makgeolli and my fave was citron!!! So delicious and has so many health benefits! I also picked up some pork hock & braised pork belly to eat while drinking their rice wine and both were very high quality meats! I will definitely be back for more makgeolli!!!
