MyKolachi Karahi & BBQ House

After reading mixed reviews, I wanted to give this place a try for myself. We did arrive late evening, once inside it appeared they just finished with the dinner rush as almost every table had leftover plates that had not yet been picked up.The server did clean up a table for us shortly after seeking their attention.A+ for the effort that went into perfectly curating art pieces that fit well with projecting Pakistani culture, the lamp shade chandeliers, and even the choice of painting all around including the bathroom. This place has a very modern feel to it.Onto the menu, they have the Pakistani staples, we opted to try the Karahi and various meat bbq platters.The Karahi sauce was purely delicious, the dark meat itself felt undercooked but that could just be preference thing. The kabobs were served with chutney, the chicken was very spicy but flavourful, the chicken kabob was our favourite. The naans served with the bbq were fresh.The food experience it self was fine, the service however was lacking, when we ordered we were advised it was would 40 mins, so we were prepared to wait. Beyond that it was just a waiting game, requesting missing items, waiting for cheque, requesting takeaway boxes. Not sure if they are understaffed and by the end of the night, the staff just seemed exhausted that I didn’t want to ask for anything else.

Visit there for breakfast , first of all service is very poor , napkin given on request in hand not even in box ,tables are not properly cleaned and the way food served it didn’t look we are in canada , serving standard is just like road side DHABA restaurant. Ordered halwa poori , nehari and omelette paratha . halwa poori rated 3/5 , nehari with naan 1/5 as naan too hard to chew and nehari itself taste not good , omelette paratha same as nehari . Wonder too much money spend on restaurant decor but food quality not near to any standard , prices are too high for this low quality food and services.

Overall service was below average. The staff on duty (including the cooks) are not equipped to service a half full restaurant. The dishes were showing up half with the add ons showing up much later. The waiters not only mismanaged our orders but also failed to bring part of our order. When inquired about the missing items, the response was a further wait time. They should have communicated that but saw it fit not to. However when we decided to skip it due to lengthy wait time, they still charged us for it on the initial bill, demonstrating the lack of communication within the staff.If you have guests in town who want to experience Pakistani cuisine, this restaurant is a definite ‘No’ for now.

We came here on a friends recommendation - it was a decent Pakistani restaurant. The restaurant itself is very clean and nicely setup. Almost like you’re dining at a restaurant in someone’s house. Super spacious, lots of light, and nice ethnic touches throughout.The peshawari karhai was the best thing we ordered. Creamy, flavourful, lots of ginger. Absolutely delicious. Proves that you don’t need spice for food to be fantastic. The Bihari kebab was ok - I’ve had better seasoned Bihari kebab in canada. The spring rolls were a waste of money. Tiny and useless.I went to the Dixie location which might be the reason behind my three stars. I’ve heard the Erinmills location is better? I will not return here.

Don't go here if you are in a rush or if you are hungry. The food took forever to come to the table... Close to 45 mins to be served. The wait times are too long especially when they were not that busy when we placed our order.But.... The food made up for it.The cajun fries were really nice, though not in line with the Pakistani food theme :).The garlic naan, chicken malai boti and nihari were absolutely delicious.Didn't like the chicken dum biryani as much... Bit too spicy for our palate for a biryani.The decor is very nice and the place has a lot of seating.Hopefully they can get their service levels figured out and this will be a must try place.

We thought to try a new place and I wish we had gone somewhere else.. This place is a joke I swear and I really wish I could give them negative ratings! These 2 dishes Charsi Kadai and mixed BBQ platter costed us more than 100 dollars! We could get much better flavor and much bigger portions for lesser price at other Desi restaurants. I’m highly disappointed and to top it off the Kadai had raw tomatoes in it. The restaurant from outside looks like a posh dine-in however when you go to the toilets they were extremely dirty and had no toilet roll even! Never going back

Ambience is good, tried their mykolachi and Peshawar white karahi it is good. Lahori fish taste is okish but too oily. Wait time is more due too karahi cooking, be prepare to wait minimum 30-40 minutes to get your food. Waiter needs to improve her customer service.

The food is delicious, but the wait time can drive you nuts, especially during busy hours. We visited on a week night and the food took 45 minutes to prep and serve so be prepared for that. Everything we ordered was delicious! Would definitely recommend and will revisit to try some of their other karahis.

This Saturday morning my family went to MyKolachi Ridgeway and Eglinton location for breakfast... we ordered Halwa Puri, Paratha and Omelet with NihariThe food was so amazing and delicious... loved the Aloo, Puri, Paratha, Omelet.... they also serve onion mixed achar which was out of this worldI always go to the dixie location but this is the first time I had breakfast at this location100 percent recommended for all breakfast lovers

They serve breakfast on weekends till 2:00 pm, and will not serve full menu until after 2 pm. We tried to order at 1:46 and they refused to even take the order. We order halwa puri which was good albeit the chana was low on salt. We placed the order for shinwari karahi at 2:01, followed up at 2:37 and were told that food is ready and the naan are being made. The food finally came at 2:47 pm. No else was in the restaurant who had placed their order before us. They told us that they make everything fresh. So brace your self for the service time delay!!!
