Pictou Veterinary Clinic

I don't understand why their service has suddenly gotten so bad? I started taking my rabbits there 2 years ago and the vets and techs are always so kind. but now you can never get through to them, and the one time I did they put me on hold for 6 minutes, then hung up on me, and took the phone off the hook... they obviously don't want your business. I drive from Truro because their service and prices are much more reasonable but now I think I'll stay local...

We have been clients of this clinic for 17 years and it is beyond sad to see the deterioration of this practice. Brenda and her staff were kind, compassionate and caring. Wendy was always cheerful and welcoming. Unfortunately we now have staff who are unpleasant and the clinic appears to be run by a technician who refuses to give appointments for urgent matters and who refuses to offer referrals. She apparently believes she has the authority to make veterinary decisions. Jamie, whom I have seen on 3 occasions is kind and caring; but it is impossible to speak with her or to get an appointment. Unfortunately I have to give one star in order to post this.......I would prefer to give zero stars.

Never answer the phone. One person told me they were taking new clients and to send my records over. Then when I call to book im told they aren't taking new patients. I explained I was told they were and to send my records which I did. The the said they would take us on but never got back to book us and of course you can't get through. Called a few times for emergencies and they still declined to help my suffering dog. I have taken my animals to Truro vet, at least they care and answer their phones

All these women are so wonderful, they made are family feel comfort with a very hard time in losing our loved one. ❤️

Awesome staff, very caring, Dr. Brenda is the best!! Wouldn't take my fur and feathered babies anywhere else!!!

On the good side Dr. Jamie is excellent would not want any other vet looking after my two. On the negative can never get hold of this clinic on the phone and since the merger and computerization they have lost my dogs file she is on special meds and they can not find her file to know what she was on. Unacceptable, but then what do you expect once you become just a number to big business. Plus they have now reduced their hours so if you work for a living good luck getting in,Unhappy very very Unhappy.

I've been going to this Pet Place for 12 years with Brenda as the veterinarian and Wendy and staff they were excellent people to work with cared with your pet needs then now in 2022 there are new owners in command they're rushing their line is constantly busy and they are dropping clients left and right and my pet passed away and they lost my pets paw print.Very disappointed in this veterinarian Clinic if you're looking for a rush job and like to spend a lot of money feel free to call them but they won't accept you anyway they're not even keeping the old clients yet alone the new ones good luck.

With new ownership and employees comes a steep learning curve. These folks are climbing it, and we will soon see everything back to normal. Nice, caring folks.
