Time spent well!!!This Sitka Spruce is oldest(500 Year) known living organism in the Kitimat Valley.This Giant Spruce is standing 165 feet tall and 37 feet in circumference.You can go ahead along the trail and spend some good time on the River.

Giant Spruce Park
This is an incredible forest with some beautiful tress. The giant spruce tree has started to fall apart over time so don't be disappointed if it's not as tall as expected. It is a bit sad seeing a giant fall but there are some other younger ones who are growing up nicely. This forest reminds me of a mini Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island. Definitely worth a visit, especially for how easily accessible it is!

Walked the full river path, stunning location...... a little bit like Endor with all the huge trees and giant plants.Some amazing spots on the river where you can watch the fisherman after the Salmon or view the new LNG plant from a different angle being built.

Very cool little spot to check out. The trees are enormous. Worth checking out if you are interested in photography and it has many opportunities for some interesting shots. My fiancé and I stopped in our way to a fishing trip on the west coast and I am glad we did.

It's such a cool giant spruce tree in the park. Also, It's the biggest tree I've ever seen so far in my life. Well maintained, and parking available on site.

God's beautiful creations. It is amazing to see all the ancient trees still standing and being protected. Peaceful and good place to relax and appreciate nature.

A great look at some natural giants. Parking is easy and the trail is quite short. The tree is dying, but the cycle is inevitable. Don't let the negative comments detour you.If you can, head a bit further down the road to access a beautiful riverside trail.
