I cannot speak for the entire clinic but only about my experience with Dr. Andre Nzokou. I have a herniated disk that I have been re-herniating for over 8 years. The most recent time, I herniated it over a year ago and dealing with the pain that goes with it ever since. I have tried physiotherapy, personal training, osteotherapy, chiropractor, massotherapy, anti-inflammatory diets, medication, injections, etc. First of all, Dr. Nzokou was not welcoming and made it seem as though I was wasting his time. When asked if I can perform my job in my current state, I explained that I am currently working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic and that I cannot work sitting but am able to work with my laptop lying down on the floor. Obviously, this will not be possible once I need to return to the office.I explained that I cannot sit for longer than 15 minutes due to severe pain and stiffness in my lower back, I cannot walk for longer than 30 minutes without shooting pains in my lower back and down my legs, I cannot sleep at night without tossing and turning because I am uncomfortable and in pain, I cannot exercise like I want to because I am always in pain, etc. I explained that I have been prescribed opioids and muscle relaxants but that I do not take them consistently because they make me really tired and I cannot work while falling asleep. I also find that they do not help with the pain so why would I take them just for the sake of taking them, especially when the medication prescribed to me is addictive. Dr. Nzokou then proceeded to scold me for not taking the medication consistently without understanding that it does not help the pain and that I can't do my job when I take them. The only thing they help with is sleep so I take them when the pain is so bad that I cannot sleep. Dr. Nzokou failed to even try to understand this. Frustrated with his lack of understanding and for dealing with this pain for a third of my life, I cried.Dr. Nzokou then asked me if I was ready to risk being paralyzed if he operated on me. He told me that the type of operation he does only works in 50% of the cases and that I need to be ready to accept that there will be no pain relief and the risk of being paralyzed. I obviously know the risks of operating on or near the spine but he definitely knows how to scare someone out of risking anything. He told me: you're not paralyzed now so why would you risk that? When I asked if I have any other options other than surgery, knowing that I would never want him to operate on me based on our interaction, he told me to go get another injection but that it may not work again. He tore the paper off, told me to go see the receptionist to get an appointment and gestured towards the door without even looking at me. I left the appointment, in tears, feeling completely defeated. For a clinic that is supposed to help patients in pain, I'm not sure that they have the right neurosurgeon working there. If you want to have your spirit crushed after years of dealing with pain, go see Dr. Nzokou.

Come at least 1-1.5 before the actual appointment time. They’ll make you wait for no reason and won’t value your time. Everyone looks dead. Very bad management.Bonus: you’ll go home with back pain for sure even if you don’t have back pain because of waiting 1.5 hours and sitting on those cheap chairs for hours.

I had the first appointment of the day. Waited 1 hour for service. The tech said they are “always late”!

First off, the appearance is 5 stars and so was the receptionist.THIS Doctor, however, was the worst, Dr. Nzokou. I took my elderly Mother who only speaks English, who had been in terrible pain for 7 weeks, which by this time was improving, though not completely. We were so excited to go to this clinic for answers but left discouraged and frustrated as he gave us no hope and no answers. He only spoke to me in French and few words in English but really didn't try. Since my Mom did not need surgery, it seemed his job was over. All he kept saying was, go to your Doctor, ask them for other options on treatments. He gave her a 2 min brief exam, and did not go over and above at all to try and calm her or find the root of the issue. No plan of action, no recommendation, just go to your Doctor, I am a Neuro Surgery and basically his job was done. I kept trying to ask him about treatments or other options, and he kept repeating, it could work, or it might not. Ask your Doctor. Not to mention, my Mom has no Doctor! Still on a waiting list. I was so let down. Do not see this Doctor. He does not care unless you need surgery, and that I am not even sure he would do his best.

Worst place to see “professional doctors” saw dr.Andre nzoko and I was the 3rd person that was told your spine is ok i can’t do anything for you. Very cold doesn’t care and not professional. I wouldn’t get operated by them and that’s what they want. To Do nothing. I should have him smacked or fired. Tired of these kind of people working as doctors. Doesn’t say what I have or don’t have, no suggestions or possibilities of my pain. So they just come out of no where. Went to other countries and they tell me ex: i have this and my pain comes from this or that. Not reversable but that is, and what i can try etc. One of Worst place amd doctor especially nzoko.

Doctor is absolutely amazing and helpful however the overall experience is ruined by the staff's customer service skills and lack of bed side manner. You have to call several times to get your results and they give you a hard time and argue with you about it. You're going there because you're dealing with chronic pain but then you're left aggrevated and flustered by the staff. Contradictive no?

This is by far the best pain clinic in Montreal! The staff is professional with a highly skilled team of doctors.I had developed a rare form of capsulitis around my ankle following a sprain. After many attempts at finding a solution, Dr. Benhaim was the only one to successfully diagnose this problem and offer me a step by step approach to recovery. Now I’m back at running 10km a day without any pain.Thank you Dr.Benhaim and the entire team!

I was referred to Dr Benhaim for chronic shoulder pain and am very glad I went. Dr Benhaim diagnosed the issue immediately and took the time to clearly explain the cause and treatment options. He is very competent and the treatment he administered has virtually eliminated the pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from chronic pain.

10+ years of living with musculoskeletal system injuries has taught to me to do my homework concerning the treatments I receive and who I consult. I was surprised with the short wait in receiving an appointment with Dr. Benhaim for an injection under fluoroscopic guidance. One and a half months later my pain's under 20%, fantastic results! The staff in the Clinic were professional, kind and made me laugh. Pretty amazing for people who see patients at their worst day in and day out! Thanks Doc B and definitely a big BZ to you and the Staff!

Helpful and multi-lingual staff are a BIG plus and make patients as comfortable as can be. The waiting time between being admitted and seeing he doctor is acceptable, sometimes 10-20 minutes. On the fourth floor of the building, and if you have problems with stairs, you'll have to walk up a few at the entrance. The traffic and lack of parking is horrendous! There is NO parking! Since most of the patients have mobility problems, they should have thought that one through. I would remove a couple of stars for that, but since the overall experience is excellent, I didn't. The staff made all the difference. They were phenomenal!! Thank you.
