Just visited Julio’s Oyster Express… and oh my word, what an experience! We got to try 4 different PEI oysters shucked by the Canadian Champion, Jason. He was so knowledgeable & passionate, it truly made for a stellar experience. The oysters & sauces were stellar. Please check this place out!!

The best spot for fresh seafood! The oyster bar is a really fun spot to hangout and try different kinds of oysters, plus Julio makes it an entire experience with his knowledge of all things seafood and his hilarious personality. A must stop in eastern PEI.

Julio's Seafood Market
Great source for fresh seafood while staying in the St Peter's and Morell area. We picked up some mussels, scallops, haddock, and cooked lobster on separate visits, and all were fresh every time. If you do want cooked lobster call ahead if he has any and he will set some aside. He also has a selection of frozen seafood items, but I was only interested in the fresh seafood.

Visited Julio’s to pick up our seafood for supper. 18 fresh oysters to start and then beautiful pieces of salmon for the grill. He has an amazing selection to make your complete meal. Julio is a super friendly guy - strongly recommend.

We had heard great things about Julio’s Seafood from multiple people, and our own experience did not disappoint! We bought mussels, soft-shell clams, and salmon. Everything was amazing! We steamed the clams with nothing but a little water and they were delicious. Did the mussels with some white wine, garlic, tomatoes, and an onion. Grilled the salmon on the barbecue, and it was probably the best salmon we’ve ever had, anywhere. Also had a great time chatting with Julio while we were in the store. Check out Julio’s for a great seafood experience!

We went to Julio’s seafood shop as we headed back to Charlottetown from Greenwich Beach. The oysters and the mussels we got were so fresh and affordable and Julio even demonstrated to us how to shuck an oyster since we were newbies. I followed his instructions, and I’m a shucking master now and I am excited to put that on my resume. Maybe one day I will follow Julio’s path and move to PEI to finalize realize my dream to eat oysters for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Julio shucks super fresh oysters while teaching you all about them. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. He had 5 different varieties from locations all over the island. Highly recommended.

Julio was super helpful and friendly with any questions we had. The quality of his oysters surpassed what I've had in restaraunts and at a reasonable price. He also gave us some oyster shucking tips. When I return to PEI I will be returning here for some seafood supplies to go cook at home. Lots of different fresh and frozen options. Support this local business, highly recommended!
