Have a project going on in your home? Let me save you some time and hassle.Purchased a slab of stone from Menson Construction Material Ltd.& contracted them to install it. I am very unhappy with their work as it was beyond unsatisfactory and I couldn’t communicate with management.Upon taking my payment for measurements, they told me they didn’t have the stone in stock anymore and I would have to wait a month. After waiting for the stone to arrive, I physically went down and inspected 2 pieces of stone for any imperfections. I picked my stone and it was ready 2 days later. My brand new cabinets were damaged upon install, chunks missing from my side panel after they moved my appliances. The 3 installers sawed my 3 walls to make their countertop somewhat fit the space, leaving gaps along the walls in some spots and the drywall resting on top of the counter in the rest of the wall. The overhangs were all different measurements throughout the length of each piece. There were 3 pieces to fit my kitchen space. One required a seam and that seam was slapped together unevenly and the gap was huge. They advised me the seam would get closer together overtime. Each counter end wasn’t the same on each end and extremely noticeable. The missing chunks where the counter should be were poorly filled in with caulking. There’s a noticeable scratch in the stone and a chunk missing on where it meets on an inner edge. The sink was not installed with the clips it came with but rather this piece of wood that isn’t even treated nor straight.I went down to their store and attempted to discuss my concerns with them. They laughed in my face, denied their poor workmanship and accepted no fault. They even told me my cabinets were put in wrong and someone else damaged the walls. Which is untrue as my cabinets were installed a week prior (also installed prior to them coming to do the template) everything was rebuilt in my kitchen right from the studs and up.Also, upon delivery where was the left over slab piece I purchased as I planned to use it for my bathroom?This business showed an extreme lack of unprofessionalism and conducted themselves poorly I would never recommend them to anyone and I hope others are doing their research prior to contracting them for their installation.
