I don’t recommend anyone going to this salon unless you wouldn’t mind a fluctuation in the satisfaction of the service. I used to really enjoy coming to this location until they got rid of ginger for whatever reason (whom might I add was an exceptional loctician which never gave mediocre services) Afterwards l began working with a woman named Jen who didn’t care to take time with my hair and whom I believe just wanted to get the money and seat the next client. On numerous occasions Jen would over schedule her appointments and have me waiting for 30 minutes to an hour to be sat in her chair only to give a poor re-twist which even when tied down would only last for 2 weeks or less. She was dishonest with the shops prices and would over charge to get an extra tip then would rush me out the door to serve her next client. This place had so much potential however, the staff may be the downfall of its progress and standing. Be cautious when going here and request receipts. If you’re getting the same service ensure you’re being charged the same each time.

After many years of not giving it much care, I decided to go to the hair salon (April 27, 2023 on my birthday) for some hair care. The ambiance, vibe, professionalism, and service were amazing. I had a wash and treat, followed by a 2-strand twist. It was so relaxing. As I sat in the chair, Amanda worked her magic in my hair. I walked out feeling confident with MY hair, no extensions. I felt free (and much lighter). They say that your hair is your crown. On my birthday, I felt royal.Thank you Nanni's.

The lead hairstylist bypassed the receptionist and gave me an appointment for 8:30 to get my hair retwisted and styled for my wedding (her suggestion to come before opening hours because I went to test my hairstyle 6 weeks before my wedding and it took her from 10am to 4pm… because of a lot of stopping and chatting and prepping for a lecture she was going to do)and didn’t show up till 10am. When she shows up at 10 she wanted to pass me off to her apprentice but I said no cause I tested with her for my WEDDING! So many other wedding appointments were delayed and messed up…. Thankfully I booked 2 days before my actual wedding… the hairstyle looked nice. Stars are just for quality of work and healthy products used.

Nanni's is the best! They started my hair at the end of 2012 and it was the best decision i ever made!! Freedom and love for my natural hair! Nanni's is an extremely professional company and they take hair care seriously. All of their staff is well trained and courteous. They use top quality products. The owner Janet is a lovely lady and she treats everyone with respect. A visit there is like visiting with family. People complement me wherever i go about my hair which is thick and luxurious thanks to Nannis!

I have been going to Nanni's for almost a year now with my mom and my younger brother. We love it there, they take good care of you and don't try to encourage you to do things unless it will benefit your hair and its health. The owner is one of the most amazing people you will meet in your life, you should definitely go for a visit. If not for you, for the best possible hair care you could ask for. P.s It is now 4 years and I am still going here the last photo is current and I'm still so thankful I found Nannis!

I really wanted to love this salon, but I never even got to experience their services despite having booked two appointments with them.The first time I booked an appointment I travelled over two hours via transit from Mississauga to the salon because I am having hair loss and moisture hydration issues with my hair. I was told over the phone that if I come in person I can have a consultation with someone to take a look at my hair and recommend Products or services that can helpWhen I got there, apparently the stylist (or whoever I was supposed to have a consultation with) was not in? And despite the fact that the lady that helped me was kind, she said that I would have to book another appointment for when the person is in as she can not help me.I travelled so far and for so long I wasn’t really about to book another appointmentFast forward. A couple years later I finally booked another appointment and literally the exact same thing happened again LOL. (Hysterical laughter). It was like deja-vu. Person for consult wasn’t available despite the fact that I CLEAR AS DAY day, booked an appointment for a consultation over the phone and I specified what my needs were. And the same kind lady was there but again, could not help me and told me to book again.Such a waste of time and energy and for someone who has searched the GTA tirelessly for a natural hair salon that has all the values and ethos that nannis claims to have because I’ve been really struggling in my hair journey, it was incredibly disheartening and discouraging having this happen to me not once, but twice. And it took me months to even be able to write this review as I am somewhat traumatized (for lack of a better word) from the experience of being vulnerable with my hair issues only to have the door shut on me twice.

Nannis started my dreadlocs and I only come here to do my hair. The quality of work & customer service here is great and you leave always looking great. The place is always packed on Saturday, that is what you expect at a 5 star establishment. I only trust Nannis with my hair.

Janet is the best, she teaches you how to take care of your hair & when she takes care of it for you, you'll definitely see the spark. Thanks Nanni's I love my hair❤️❤️

As a new loctician I took the Loc Extension course offered by Janet and learned SO MUCH in just a few hours. She is very knowledge about loc care and really understands how nutritional wellness helps our hair to thrive. If you book a hair appointment or course with this salon you will not be disappointed!
