I went to the bank yesterday to cash an income tax refund cheque, and this teller was so nice and friendly with the previous client. As soon as I said say hi to her she flip and started to give me attitude. A cussing me of fraud! I showed her all my id’s and even though I wasn’t able to cash it out until I went to other bank. Never going back to that Scotia bank rude as hell.

Excellent customer service all-round in this branch. I highly recommend it. Updating my review today 23 Jan 2020. There were 3 officers serving. They seemed to be serving 2 to 3 customers who seemed to have 'complex' banking issues judging by the time it took to resolve. I understand that but feel the bank should put additional officers to serve customers at times like these.Updating my review 26 March 2022: I lost my card after I lost my wallet on Thursday January 13. I went to my Branch (Nash & Queenston in Hamilton, ON) and was served by William. William not only showed empathy for my situation but also served me with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency. Thanks William for the excellent customer service.

Would be zero stars if possible. Refused to cash a $32US cheque unless I open a US account, claiming they are unable to process the transaction (lies). Same branch just cashed a similar cheque, slightly larger amount, several weeks prior with no issue (other than threatening to hold the small amount for 30 days). Don’t appreciate the coercion to open products I don’t want. Cashed at another Scotiabank location with zero issues. Disorganized, dimly lit and unappealing.

Terrible customer service. Went in there with concerns that someone has opened an account under my name and was laughed at. Assistant Manager “Mark” learn to have better customer service skills. At least say hello to someone when they come into your office. He was so aggressive, I didn’t understand why. Anyways this is why I’m a CIBC client instead.

Why would you close your indoor ATM vestibule at 6pm... after being open at all hours for years?!?! Except to save money and inconvenience your customers. This is so ridiculous and so ANTI- CUSTOMER SERVICE.I'd say this is unbelievable but really it is just so typical of something the big banks do.Shame on you guys.Profit over service.

I've been dealing with this branch since 2002. June has been amazing to deal with. I can be hard to handle sometimes because I get very overwhelmed since my car accident. She's been very patient and understanding and always has my best interest in mind.

Unable to review their head office location so this will do. Scotiabank took money out of my account WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME (illegal) and then has proceeded despite advising to stop contacting the number, to call a number that has told them REPEATEDLY TO NOT CALL THEM (also illegal), on a daily basis. Don't go with Scotiabank, that's all I gotta say.

I have changed two addresses in last two years, updated 5 times, even asked to see that they had updated and they STILL send cards to the very first address i used to live, even different province ! The same case with the husband.Now, with expired card, working hours 9-5, waiting for them to answer the call for more than 45 min, How i am supposed to use my own money? Its stuck!I am changing the bank!It’s nonsense!

The younger staff needs to learn how to talk to people if they want to work in the service industry - extremely rude and unprofessional behavior.
