CIBC Branch with ATM

Nice people. Short wait. I don't know why rating so low. But it's not the cashiers

Made a booking online to create a new bank account. Made to wait 30 minutes and then was told they can't make new accounts and only our own personal financial advisor can which makes 0 sense.

Although with new and diverse staff in this branch, the services have improved, the clients are welcomed well at the entrance and talked to in a friendly manner. This is unlike before when they were laughing at clients. However, the manager Ron remains arrogant and does not respect clients. He does not even come out and talk when the clients want to talk to him. He eats his food in his office. A good manager would like to keep clients happy. He thinks that he is very important, and clients are just nuisance. It is time for a new manager who is client friendly. The security officer hides behind the wall outside and smokes and he does not have client friendly aura. he is rude and does not seem to be a good security person in the bank. we do pay high service fees to be treated with disrespect.

I want to give a shout out to Marco regarding our visit to CIBC today. Unfortunately, I do not know his last name. He is a teller there. He was both professional and personable. It was a fairly complex situation regarding a credit card bonus. We only had to tell him once what our situation was and he got it right away. It was something that could not be done quickly, so he moved us over to the side to help us. He made a call and explained accurately the situation to CIBC Visa. When Marco had to leave, he did not leave us hanging, but made sure we were able to have someone continue to take care of us.Thank you Marco. You had our interest the whole time and made our time dealing with this much more palatable. Also want to thank the manager, Ahmad Sahak who was on stand by if needed.

Lots of tellers to help you out. They seem like they just started or were in training, but they were very friendly and helpful. Lines could be pretty long at closing. Financial advisors were booked for the next two weeks, so better to do telephone banking.

Went in to change my credit card pin with 2 pieces of ID. The person at the counter asked to see my banking app and she then grabbed my phone to see if it was actually me. She told me that was protocol.CIBC, I am asking you now, is that your protocol?

I went to CIBC at Metrotown yesterday.I wanted some information regarding mortgages and redeeming my GIC's.I waited at the front, where this women was talking to another customer in their language, I waited for quite some time, then I interrupted and ask this women, that I have a quick question, she rudely told me. I am with this customer can't you see" I left and waited in line to ask the teller

Never pick up the phone call and never return the phone call... If you don't use the phone, why you put the phone number on Google???

Had a bad experience with this branch, walked in and an old lady helped me. Just wanted to link my credit cards to my account cuz it’s not showing in my app. Even tho I can provide picture IDs and verify identity through msg, she still refused to do so, which is not the case in other branches. Brought so much inconvenience to customers.
