Kal Tire

I went in to Kal Tire a month ago to set a get of winter tires on steel wheels. I noticed strong vibrations while driving the next morning and saw that two of my directional tires had been mounted backwards. I went into the store and they switched the tires to the correct orientation and rebalanced two of them. After a couple days of driving the vibrations continued. A mechanic at Kal Tire verified that 3 of the wheels sold to me were not round and causing the vibrations. I was told that a new set would arrive in three days and they would mount them. After about a week I had not received any calls so I phoned in. I was told they would arrive on the next shipment and I would get a call in a day or two. About a week after that I called again and was told the same thing. After a month now of driving on unbalanced wheels with my truck shaking I called in this Saturday to see if there was anyway that this problem could be fixed. I was told they would get to the bottom of this today and call me back. Again no one called back.At this point my trust for this location is basically zero. The original tire mounting was done wrong. The product was dysfunctional and the customer service has been lacking. This is our family's only vehicle and I've spent way to much time on hold with Kaltire and waiting in their parking lot for fixes that don't fix anything. I kind of just want to have my money back and my original tires remounted. I'll start fresh somewhere else.

Went for a new valve stem on my old 99 Superduty. Did the work fast and let me throw my old rotors in the metal bin out back. Walked back to the front and the Manager surprised me with a freebie. Every Kal Tire I've been to between Edmonton and Victoria and Duncan is always a pleasure.

Great customer service. They were quick and efficient with work done on my vehicle. They noticed and suggested other maintenance to be done on my vehicle and did it right then and there.I will definitely being going back for future maintenance and highly recommend.

These are my tire guys. They run a pretty good operation although they can be very busy at times especially during changeover time (April and November). Wait times aren't too bad but you'll want to book before the rush starts for tire change. I like the idea of the tire storage/lodge service they had but it's WAY too expensive here. They bag up old tires for you but last time they were loaded into the back seat and I had to get lots of mud off the back leather seats. Seasonal tire change was around $150.

Having a tire looked after under warranty at this location. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and applied the warranty with no question. There was, however, some issues with getting the installation done. First the tech didn't do the rotation that was asked for. Then when I returned, a few days later because that's when I could get in, the tire rotation that was done didn't match what the work order showed. This is the first time I've been disappointed in the work done at this location. Previous visits were great.

Made an appointment for 2PM for new tires. Arrived early. Agent that greeted me was very friendly. I waited as the agent said it would be about an hour. 2 hours 20 minutes later the job was finished. I am aware of the labour shortage. I am also aware that it is tire season. 2:20 if I was a walk in" maybe
