Foundations Safety and First Aid Training

My son just did an assessment for a fire department hiring and failed his FR portion of his assessment. This is the second time (different process)and the examiner picked out right away where he had taken his training.Foundations claims to have firefighters teaching, but his instructor was applying to be a firefighter and was not.They don't teach the BC EMA licensing protocols people need to know to become a firefighter!!!!!!!!!!They didn't tell my son how to become licensed and he almost missed being licensed.They did not have the equipment for EMR (ambulance stretchers...) that are required by EMA licensing to teach EMR so my son went to the JI. Nothing he was taught at Foundations matched what he was taught at the JI!!!!The person they had teaching the EMR was not even licensed as an EMR as we found out later.This place is a scam!!!!!!!! They are here to pray on peoples dreams of becoming a firefighter!!!

Kim was an awesome instructor and explained everything very thoroughly. I hope when I renew my certificate I get her as an instructor again!

Booked a week long course 5 months in advance. 9 days before the course is set to begin, and after receiving all the study material, the company cancels it!!!! People rely on their first aid accreditation for their livelihood and have arranged time off work to attend these courses in advance. Any reputable company would uphold a minimum notice period for cancellation, especially when other people's employment depends on it.

My instructor Rosaline made my Standard First Aid course engaging and packed with detail. I was nervous for the course, not having any first aid experience, but Rosaline's teaching was clear and she's a very knowledgeable, personable instructor. I would highly recommend her and this location for anybody looking to take a first aid course.

My instructor Kim was very knowledgeable and informative with this course! Her way of teaching was really good, she was also very funny and has a lot of experience as well! I loved attending this course, she made it very fun!!

Roseline was an amazing instructor. Kept the entire class engaged which is often difficult to do, especially when majority are taking first-aid because their work has sent them. 10/10 I would recommend!
