VCA Foster Park Animal Hospital

Have had all our cats taken there! The staff are extremely polite, very accommodating and very knowledgeable. Love that they call and check on the pet even days later.

We started taking our dogs here about 6 months ago and we are very happy with the service we receive at Foster Park.They are very good with our dogs and treat them with compassion and professionalism.When booking an appointment they send a confirmation which can get placed into our Google Calendar, we get a reminder before the appointment and after the appointment we get a follow-up phone call from the vet.All the staff are very friendly, courteous and professionalWe would recommend the veterinarian hospital to anyone looking for a quality practice .I know Boomer loves them.

Amazing and professional staff. So helpful and informative. Truly makes you and your pet feel welcomed and cared for.

Came home to notice my cat bleeding where her microchip was placed. We are new to Belleville so our vet is still in our hometown. Of course I panicked and called the closest vet to us. They were busy and have their own clients to look after so they did not have to accomodate us but they did. Within minutes of being there her microchip was half way out so the doctor pulled it out, gave us antibac wipes and a cream for her wound. I am so thankful for the care and generosity they showed us.

Constantly suggesting me to go to another vet. So I did. 2 doctors at foster park were giving different advice & treatments which was very contradictory. One saying wait 6 months to bring my dog back. Other suggested different tests. Paid over $600 for 4 different types of pills which did nothing. Switched to Richmond veterinary clinic in napanee and they knew the skin condition immediately and gave proper prescriptions which helped my dog immediately with itching and swelling. In a week her hair has begun growing back. Continuing treatment until infection has resolved with high hopes and peace of mind from the experienced and professional doctors at Richmond who don’t give up after one single set back. Receptionists at foster park are unbelievably unprofessional and quite argumentative. Surprise fees always popped up after every vet visit at foster park. They were an amazing vet the first few years of going there but every visit is a slow decline in care and knowledge.

First time in Foster Park Hospital.Very nice and clean facility.We waited a little bit longer than I would like, but that was compensated by friendliness and kindness of the stuff and Doc .Thank you Miki.

Switched vets due to lack of availability for my cat to get into be supported with dental care and surgery (they claimed the person was only in on Wednesdays). Foster park did not help him in any useful way - just gave me extremely expensive food he would not eat (he’s normally food obsessed) and pain meds. I kept asking what else I, or they, could do until the THREE MONTH wait for his surgery since he wasn’t eating - again very abnormal for him - and they just kept pushing the pain meds and wet food that he wouldn’t eat. $140 a week for food and meds for three months? Then the surgery I was quoted $2400 for? No thank you. Tremendously overpriced for the care (or lack there of) you get. I repeatedly asked for more options so I could support him but they reiterated the food and meds as the only option until surgery.I had our files transferred to a different vet (the receptionist didn’t seem happy about this). At this next vet, my cat was seen and supported in a reasonable amount of time. They helped him so he would still eat until his surgery which was a HUGE relief to see him eat again. The surgery was booked for the following week! They followed up with us and he’s been doing great ever since the switch! So thankful we are no longer with Foster Park Vet. VCA is supposed to have higher quality care and that is not what we experienced at all.

All the employees and Vets were fantastic to Leia, Salem & Lexxi through the years. Super supportive when we had to make that decision no one wants to really make. Love my furr babies. Comforting when Salem went over the Rainbow Bridge and yesterday with our Lexxi when she did. ❤

Dear Foster Park, Thank you Dr. Maarje Armstrong and assistants of Foster park Vet for your sensitive caring nature to our loss of Chief. We had him for 13 1/2 years and he was a very loyal and affectionate black lab , sincerely Melody and Roger (Chiefs mommy and daddy).
