Matias Shiatsu & Registered Massage Therapy (Hamilton Location)

I have been seeing Matias for two years. He is skillful, focused, and takes his profession seriously. His approach to shiatsu and massage healed my original (debilitating) condition, and now my bi-weekly treatments have become integral to my overall wellness. I am very grateful that Matias and his family chose to live and work in Hamilton!

I was injured- god knows how. Pinched nerve.I had been dealing with my right side for about a year. Every time it acted up it would take at least a series of 4 massages to feel normal.Most recently my left side decided it would mimic the right.I was in pain. My hand was going numb. I called on a snow storm trying to get in Matias told me he didn’t have room but would call me back in case of a cancellation.The next day I received a my call.I showed up for my appointment. I was a bit nervous, my first time with a male masseuse.He made me feel very calm. Because of my pain, my massage was more like work. Something of which I wasnt accustomed to for a massage.What a great relief. Amazing experience. My body needed work. And not a regular massage.He spent time stretching out my neck and shoulder and even my hands. While my muscules are sore ( only from being worked on, very normal) I feel so much better. I have zero numbing in my hand. And full range of motion.Matias is very knowledgeable, friendly and calming. I highly recommend.

Matias is highly trained in multiple disciplines. He combines his extensive training with his personal gifts of listening and intuition to give excellent treatments. It is wonderful to have a Shiatsu professional in Hamilton.

Matias was excellent! Very skilled, my neck (my trouble area) feels so much better. Over all wonderful: atmosphere, technique, super comfortable. I am used to the regular RMT massages, but this was a great experience. I highly recommend him and will go back for sure.

This is the first time I have tried Shiatsu. I was stuck in my life and wanted to try something that could relieve the stress. I wanted to be able to stick to my own personal goals and after receiving Shiatsu from Matias I had a burst of energy and meditated and exercised every day. Matias also takes the time to give personal feedback. I had problems with my upper back but his holistic approach made me realize the other parts of my body that were causing the pain. I have already been recommending to friends.

I've been seeing Matias for years and have always received the upmost quality and care. Not only have I received the best massage by him, he also provided me with things I could do to improve my overall health. I highly recommend Matias for both shiatsu and massage, he listens and is present with the work he does. It's a noticeable difference from other practitioners I've experienced in those areas.

Matias was a very informative and attentive rmt. He offers a wide range of pressure and was very responsive to when I would ask for higher or lower levels. I've been to a good handful of RMTs in the area and Matias blows them all out of the water. The only difficulty is scheduling as evenings and weekends are offered in high capacity, but understandable and worth it to see Matias when he's available.

Been going to Matias for a few years now. His professionalism, knowledge and expertise are unrivalled. He really takes the time to get to the root of your issue unlike other RMTs I have tried that just try to get you in and out within the hour. Highly recommend.
