I am so overwhelmed with gratitude at the exceptional service given to me today. My first pair of glasses ever were purchased about a year ago and unfortunately the lenses got scratched.I wasn't sure how my warranty would work but I brought in my damaged glasses and without hesitation they replaced not only my lenses but upgraded my frames as well with no cost.A week later as I was cleaning my glasses the Frame broke in half I was so shocked and worried I would no longer be covered. I walked into the store today to show them my glasses and again without question or blame to me they replaced my frames free of charge and upgraded them again. I feel so blessed by this kind of care and service and commitment to customer's i highly recommend this optical store to anyone.

My family and I have been purchasing glasses from 1 hour optical for about 10 years. The glasses are amazing, I have never had such crystal clear vision while driving, reading or on the computer. My optometrist has even said that the glasses from 1 hour optical are of high quality. Payam is also one of the most professional opticians I have met and will go out of his way to make sure his customer is happy. He is a very caring individual and treats his customers as he would expect his family to be treated. Thank you 1 hour optical!

So.. in May I went here trying to get glasses. I just wanted a quote on the glasses I liked. Well, I decided not to get them because I thought it was too much and I didn't want to spend that much at the time. So I DID NOT GET THE GLASSES. I went today to get glasses as they were having a sale at a different optical store. When I got the very nice young lady to see what my insurance would cover she told me it was maxed for the year. I was confused? I never received any glasses and my insurance said I got glasses in May? That was when I went there. Scam artist. I want my money back! I am appalled that a business could do that. My insurance runs out Sept 1. going there tomorrow. I better get my money back or glasses. I'm very upset.

The owner was wonderful, he helped us with our frame selection and recommended the color for our transitions lenses that look great in the frames. I was very impressed with the time he spent and the attention he gave. Our new glasses are fabulous!

Awesome service from Gayle. I must have tried on 50 frames before making a choice and she never showed impatience. I purchased progressives and prescription sun glasses. The progressives are the best I have ever had. She did the tinting and gradient on my shades and they look great. Less than a week to get both back as well, I have always had to wait 2-3 weeks. Would highly recommend this place!

This business is an absolute gem. Customer service is above and beyond. I live in a rural area - 4 hour drive from Nanaimo. My child lost their glasses in a lake and is almost unable to function without them. I messaged this store at 10:30 at night and they RESPONDED! I sent in the prescription and then they went in early to see if they had the lenses we needed. We got the call that they did and headed straight to Nanaimo. My child picked out some stylish frames and the glasses were ready in 40 minutes! We went back and I was almost a little nervous to ask the price - it was an emergency service after all. Glasses were under $400 all in, and with the tenacity of the optometrist the price was $39.99 after insurance. I wish I could give more stars for this business as they have managed to achieve the impossible trifecta: quality, speed, and affordable. Throw in friendly and accommodating on the hottest day of summer, and you have Nanaimo 1 Hour Optical. THANK YOU!!!

Great service! I REALLY bent both of the eyepieces on my glasses while on vacation - they were not really usable. Fixed perfectly in under 10 min. When I wanted to pay the associate said “don’t be ridiculous”. Thank you very much for helping my family and me have a great vacation!
