Team at Strong Roots was great. Ultimately Rick (owner) and spoke on going with a different product then was planned and it turned out to be beautiful while protecting my hardwood floors.

Rick did an amazing job bringing our floors back to life!!! And finished the job ahead of schedule by 1 full day! Rick was so personable and approachable....always happy to answer my questions.....super knowledgeable...truly an expert in his field. Thank you so much Rick & Darin! We absolutely love our new refinished floors.....it's just like the first day we moved in.

In the past 8 years we have bought 2 older houses. We used Strong Roots to refinish the hardwood floors at both. They even did some additional vinyl plank and prepared some finishing pieces that we required on the last project that completed February 28-2022. We coordinated with Rick Johnstone. He was sensible, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. We also had a great experience dealing with the guys on site doing the work. Great service and friendly passionate workers! So refreshing to have trades that clearly are great at their job and love it too! Shout out to Scott & Blain. Our hardwood floors have been transformed... they were yellow from age and we had them sanded down to a more natural look. The floors aren't perfect and we knew that going into this project. We didn't have the spaces between the planks filled, and the spaces do stand out somewhat more but the colour change is worth it. We could have easily put all new floors throughout but felt this was the more responsible environmental choice and anytime we can recycle, reuse or repurpose - we're in! It was an absolute pleasure to work with all the Strong Roots team! They took my dark and very orange red oak floors to their natural state by expertly muting the pink tones and letting the gorgeous light oak shine through, in love the final result!

Thank you to Dylan from Strong Roots for sourcing and supplying a match to our existing bamboo floors when every other flooring company we talked to said it couldn’t be found! Very disappointed on my follow up appointment after my floor showed unusual wear in low traffic areas after less than a year after they refinished my floors at a cost of over $3000. It took over 2 months for them to come and look at my floor and quoted me another $1000 to fix it. They said their finishes only last a year unless you pay for an upgraded commercial finish. I am an elderly person who lives with a 6 lb dog. I am very gentle with my floors. Very disappointed and have to live with a damaged floor. Wish they could have at least met me half way and shared the $1000 repair bill.

Love love love our new floors. They are better than I expected. I can't say enough good about them. Rick and all his guys are super nice. They are very busy so it took longer than expected but love the end result.

I have been working with Rick for many years, and witnessed his growth in the company but also his passion for his clients.This past project which involved carpet, tile & harwood, the biggest bonus are the people.With Brady, Sergio and Blane on the front line completing the installation, you can feel secure that they are experienced & care about the end product.

Our wide plank wood floors restored to their original beauty. After 10 years with fair humidity, the boards shrank leaving unsightly gaps. An absolutely beautiful job done on repair and recoat. A delight to work with, a great big huge thank you, to the Strong Roots Flooring team!
