Great museum explaining local history. Free entrance. If in neighborhood makes good family afternoon outing with lots of cafes nearby.

It's a tiny place in Aylmer. However for it's size it offers a great experience to learn the history of Aylmer.

Most museums are closed over the weekends. This one stands out. It is free entrance just across the marina. A place to go when touring Gatineau.

All the historical information placards are in French so don't expect to learn anything about the buildings around Almore if you only speak English

As far as a museum goes not too impressive. The grounds around it and proximity to the Aylmer Marina and all that has to offer is worth the effort.
