Picked up their Chocolate Quinoa Cake at From the Ground Up exhibition and am completely in love with it! This is exactly the kind of delicious, moist, and protein-filled cake that every restaurant and café should be offering their clientele. Locally created and crafted with love, the CQC is a must have for summer get-togethers. A slim slice is plenty and with the addition of fresh toppings like strawberries and coco-whip, everyone will be delighted! Highly Recommend for everyone - not just those who eat plant-based!

Blaine's Multigrain bread is dense with whole grain deliciousness while staying light, chewy, and perfect for toast in the mornings, or with dinner, or as a sandwich! I like it sliced and frozen, so that I can stretch out my loaf for as long as possible. Otherwise I'd eat it all up at once. I had the Basque Cheesecake at a party, and it is the most fantastic thing you'll ever put in your mouth. Not too sweet, a solid and creamy cheesecake texture, and just SO yummy. I have two cakes in my freezer right now, glaring at me when I open the door. I'm trying to hold off until my birthday to release them into the wild. And there's these Tahini Energy Bar Cookies that totally sneak up on you. Super healthy, yes, so ok for the kids, but it's the amazing taste that I liked best. Satisfying without the sugar overload.You won't be sorry ordering from the Contrarian Bakehouse, ever.

I was looking for a new breakfast treat and lucky me I found a two-fer. The Sticky Toffee Date Cake is perfect for breakfast...just change out the Sticky Toffee for whipped cream cheese. OMG!!! Then when I'm feeling like something more decadent, Viola! My friends were very impressed with this perfect dessert, served with vanilla ice cream, but poor them, then didn't get to wake up to more!!! I shared mine with Ganesh (and my fiancé) and that lovely red plate and a strawberry. Yum! You do not need to be a lover of gluten free to go crazy for this cake!

Delicious baking that is made of wholesome ingredients. A variety of great products that are easy to eat on the go. Everything tastes so good and leaves you feeling nourished.

I’ve had a variety of Contrarian products. They are all outstanding! I love the natural wholesome ingredients, awesome flavour and great prices. You won’t believe these products are gluten free. Taste is excellent. We served the chocolate cake at a family dinner recently and everyone raved about it!

The bakery products put out by this Bakehouse are top notch quality. I absolutely love the energy bars and the cakes are to die for. I especially appreciate the gluten free products. Good quality and taste is so hard to come by and these gluten free bakery goods are by far the best I have ever come across. I highly recommend The Contrarian Bakehouse.

LOVE all the products that have been created for gluten-free eaters. The hazelnut shortbread is incredible. We also love the GF grain bread. The cakes are yummy, I think our fav is the Chocolate Quinoa!

I absolutely love Contrarian Bakehouse's Chocolate Coconut Energy Bar and Cranberry Oat Energy Bars. They are both gluten free and vegan, and somehow taste delicious! If that's not enough, the high protein keeps me full. Thanks for making this delicious gluten-free option Contrarian Bakehouse!

Top quality ingredients, loving care in preparation, and absolutely delicious. I have tried four of Blaine's cake varieties and found them all heavenly. Well worth going out of your way to get these gems!
