It is often nostalgia that leads me to Southeast Asian restaurants within the GTA - there are days where nothing brings more comfort than a steaming bowl of soup from one of these eateries.We had the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes from the menu. With a chewy, translucent wrapper filled with vermicelli noodles and vegetables, the spring roll was the perfect start to a delicious meal. Made only better with the second appetizer, the spicy lemongrass tofu, both the dishes were utterly satisfying, with the tofu being tender and well-spiced! Our main course consisted on Viet Chay's signature noodle soup - the Spicy Mock Beefs Rice Noodle (Bun bo Hue). Utterly comforting, the large bowl of soup was enough for a table of 4! Filled with noodles and herbs, it seemed that the soup would remedy anyone's bad day with its warmth and flavor! Eaten with the vegan beef sandwich as a side, this made for a sustaining and nourishing meal, with plenty of leftovers for us to take home. I was looking for something tasty for my partner's birthday. And was BLOWN AWAY with the food here. Great portions. Absolutely delicious. And easy to get to via TTC. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

My daughter and I live outside of the city and don't have many vegan options. We found this amazing vegan restaurant. Didn't know what to expect but happy to say we were blown away. We were welcomed and given great suggestions from the menu. Truly can taste the passion for great vegan Vietnamese food. We will definitely be back to try more of this great menu. Thank you Vicki for the amazing food! Please support this hidden gem.

Add this to this list of unassuming vegan restaurants that serve up great food. My son and I were visiting the city, so we went a little nuts and ordered a ton of food. It was delicious-- fast, fresh, and hot. The owner was friendly and walked us through the large menu. The lobster was a favorite, and the noodle dish (can't remember now what it was, exactly). Can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

This is such a great find! We had the fried rice and noodles at Viet Chay and absolutely loved everything we ate. The rice has an amazing smoky flavour to it which was great. The noodles were really tasty too. We will definitely visit again.

Great food, good service. We ordered Mock fish vermicelli noodle soup + stirred fried mixed vegetable + Singapore fried noodle. All were great. Must try fried sticky rice. There is no high-chair for kids.

Tasty vegan Vietnamese food. Good prices, friendly staff, generous portions. Spring rolls, fried rice, and duck are very tasty. A must-try!

One of the freshest bahn mi breads I've ever had! The mixed mock meat had a slight off-putting smell but that's my personal taste - nothing wrong with it per se. The taste was good, but not great. Again, personal preference. The lady that served me was very nice. There's a handful of tables laid out in a cozy small place.

I’m a vegetarian, so it’s nice to see there is a vegetarian vietnamese restaurant in the area. The staff was very nice and attentive. Service was quick. The vegetarian dishes here are quite unique and flavourful. I would love to try more other dishes.
