Reckless Shipyards: eBikes, Skis & More!

Great e-bike rentals, friendly staff, and prime location for world-class cycling along the North Vancouver waterfront. My brother and I rented 2 e-bikes for a whole day, but were done with them after 3 hours, and they only charged us for a half-day. They didn't have to do that, and it just shows their commitment to customer service. If you're in North Vancouver, you should definitely rent from here!

Tony is a superstar when it comes to fitting the right bike to the right person!!He took the time to see how I rode, did adjustments to fit the bike to me and my style of riding. I also took a few hours and tried several bikes before I made my decision, with no pressure, even paid for extra time on my parking so I could try more bikes out :)) What a fabulous experience!!It’s been a couple of weeks now since I bought my Royal Dutch Gazelle and I absolutely love it!!! I couldn’t be happier with both the bike and the experience of buying it. He even delivered it to me as I had forgotten I couldn’t get it home without a rack yet. (Hitch was to be installed later.)This whole experience is what great sales is all about!! I will stay a life long customer of Reckless shipyards because of Tony and his staff. If you are looking for an e-bike go no further…head to Reckless at the shipyards in North Vancouver.I would give them more stars if I could!

Hi Tony,Thanks for the email. This bike is great! I have been out a few times for some long rides and really enjoyed it. I have not been this excited about a bike since my last three speed with the banana seat circa 1972. This one rides a little better. We went to several shops to educate ourselves on Ebikes and it wasn’t until we met Tony at “Reckless Ebikes and More” located down in the Shipyards, North Vancouver. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patience and helpful. Tony and his staff (Bosco) took the time to help us find the right e-bikes for both of us. When we tried them...What a game changer! We felt like Superman and Superwoman. The love of biking was back!We are so impressed with their customer service “10 + stars”, we immediately felt comfortable with them and they made us feel like we were part of their cycling family. Our first intention was to buy used, but felt so comfortable with Tony we ended up buying new E-bikes. We had many questions and visited Tony many times, each time we went, he had all the time in the world for us and never rushed us in our decisions.If anyone is looking to purchase an E-bike, we highly recommend going and speaking to Tony before purchasing elsewhere.We are so happy that we found “Reckless E-bikes and More” and will continue to buy locally from them. The quality of the bikes sold at Reckless Shipyards are only exceeded by the quality of the service provided by Tony and his crew. Tony spent a portion of last Saturday morning fitting and adjusting two different Gazelle bikes for me to test ride and then joined me for the ride as I tried them both. All the while, stopping to make adjustments to their fit. Based on that ride I decided on the new Gazelle C380 2.0 HMB. A fantastic bike. Went in the following day to pick up the new bike and Tony was meticulous in preparing the bike for me to take home. A week later, I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the shopping experience at Reckless Shipyards. If you're shopping for a bike, I can't recommend Reckless highly enough.

Before I decided to invest in an e-bike, I had a bunch of questions and was in search of a perfect fit for me. I must say that, after conducting a diligent two-month research and exploring all the bike shops in North Vancouver, none compared to the level of customer care, passion, and patience that I experienced at Reckless Bike Shop.From the moment I walked in, Tony himself made it a point to answer all my questions in a clear and comprehensive manner. He also went the extra mile to allow me to test-ride several bikes until I found the perfect fit. Throughout my 7-hour visit, I observed how the shop engaged with every customer that came in. I was genuinely moved by the incredibly warm and welcoming attitude of everyone in the shop. From helping a passerby with a band-aid to repairing bikes for an elderly couple, no request seemed too small or too big for them.What sets this shop apart is not just the excellent regular maintenance service, but also the peace of mind knowing you can receive help anytime, anywhere when a problem arises.I have never felt so compelled to write a review like this. Fantastic. Tony, Bosco, Ryan, and more were so helpful to my family and I! I would recommend giving them your business over other bicycle shops that I’ve been to.* They brought somebody in on an off day so that we could try a bicycle that we could not find anywhere else* Text messages and videos showing different styles of bicycles* Giving me a ride to a hardware store to get straps and a tarp to carry the load back.During the test ride, I could tell that he really knew and understood how the bike functioned.My wife and I felt that even if we ended up not purchasing a bicycle, we would have felt the same service.Only wish they were closer!

I just purchased a Gazelle Medeo T9 HMB e-bike in Champion Red and dare I say buying from Reckless Shipyards was perhaps the best customer service experience I have ever received. I've been researching e-bikes for about 2 months before ultimately settling on this bike and specifically purchasing from Reckless. I had checked out some other competitors but I got a strong sense that the service at Reckless was on a whole other level. Tony, Ryan and Bosco run a tight ship juggling purchases and rentals. The bike fitting was a breeze and they fitted me with all the necessary accessories (mirror, bottle cage, Abus lock and deluxe panniers). Full charge of the battery had me ride 60km on my first day! I have an awesome summer now awaiting me to be filled with long distance riding, and riding the Gazelle is a DREAM. You cannot argue with Dutch engineering. Looking forward to follow up maintenance with the Reckless gang. If I could repeat the experience another time I certainly would, but that's for another bike! Cheers to you crew

Tony and his team are the best. Bought my E-bike two years ago and they treat me like family every time I go into their store for tune ups etc. They are sincere and always want to make sure your bike is working well. Great community builders. I’m so happy that I chose to buy from them! Bike itself has been working great as well. Can’t go wrong with Dutch made bikes!

I bought an Apollo ghost scooter and it has been a great ride! Almost a 1000 km later there have been some minor issues involving pinch flats and wearing out the original brake pads. The service has always been great. Friendly, generous with their time and willing to let me watch and explain things so I know how to them later myself.
