Chalet Buckingham

The chalet was fantastic. For a newly built cottage, it had all the amenities that you needed, plus many added bonuses. We played many board games and had fun doing the puzzles too. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of utensils and pots and pans. Storage space was great for all our food. It was a really hot week for us so the air conditioning was a bonus. Often in the day, it was too hot to be outside and having air conditioning was a saviour. The river is nice and refreshing as well. The highlight of each evening was the huge fire pit where we could sit around a nice fire and watch the sunset.Thanks Scott for the thoughtful welcome tote. It was personalized for our group with many useful water toys and adult treats.We had a wonderful week at the beautiful cottage (really a gorgeous house).

Our stay at Buckingham Cottage was such an amazing experience! The view is stunning. The water was cool and clear for swimming, which the kids did a lot of! The cottage itself is less of a cottage and more of a Luxurious Lake House. There is enough sleeping space for extended family. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean! We enjoyed s'mores by the bonfire, which we received in our welcome basket. There is even Satellite TV and boardgames for the kids when we got rained-in. We will definitely be coming back!

Cozy chalet

Vacation of a lifetime especially if you like water activities

Perfect, prinstine, beautiful home so close to Ottawa! After a number of years of renting comparable luxury cottages over the last few years, this fully-equipped rental property was definitely the best yet!

We had a wonderful stay at Chalet Buckingham! We had 6 adults and 2 kids( age 6) stay for a week. The cottage is clean with everything you need for your stay. There was a very thoughtful and generous welcome tote waiting for us upon arrival with goodies for kids and adults. The view is wonderful no matter where you are on the property. The owners are always working on adding to the property to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The Ottawa Rover was a lot of fun to boat on and there is a family friendly beach not far down by boat. Our kids loved to play there, it was safe and anyone who was at the beach was very friendly. The fire pits were a popular spot at night and there was lots of room and chairs for everyone. We had an amazing time and would recommend staying in any season!

The Chalet is absolutely gorgeous, very big and was recently renovated. You'll definitely enjoy the awesome bbq and the 2 cosy fire places on the outside! Wifi is consistent, there is a nice google Home for the ambience music. Oh and the bathroom are superbs! Awesome nature vibes and less than 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa.Our group had such a good time at the Chalet and the owners are very nice :) Would totally recommend!
