Budget Car Rental

They took a deposit of the same rental amount without telling me, the car collection and return experience were very poor, I rented another car from enterprise and it’s cheaper, better with seamless experience.

It wasn't until I tried to do the precheck when I realized I accidentally booked my reservation on the US site. When I called the local Budget location here in Ottawa, the customer service said it was not problem at all. When I got to the counter, it was the smoothest and fastest experience I've had since I've been renting a car - I was in and out within 10 minutes! Then, when I went to return the car, the whole process was done in less than 2 minutes! It was definitely an A+ experience for me.

Easy online booking, great service at the counter and a very nice vehicle. I love the lower-price mystery option. I expected that I would get a compact car at that price, but was pleasantly surprised when I was handed the keys to an SUV. What a nice upgrade. Would recommend them for sure.

Car reservation and pick up at airport went smoothly. Pleasant staff that did not push on the upsells. The car was in perfect order and final bill did not break the bank.

Absolutely disgusting new owners that treat their customers like they were animals from their original country. Horrible , smelly run down vehicle, with over 70,000 kilometers on car, trunk would not open from remote or switch, bald tires and windshield wiper blades that needed to be changed.Upon checking in they tried to give a lesser car than was agreed upon with expedia then tried to say expedia reservations are not valid.They tried to charge 20 dollars a day for a vehicle with snow tires in the middle of winter.I wonder how that will go over with legal council when someone is seriously injured.Budget should be ashamed of bringing in this group of thieves to represent an airport location that had previously amazing customer service and vehicles and reduced service to less than what you get in a third world country.Would not recommend this to even the worst of enemies.

Very bad experience. Rented from ottawa to be dropped off to Barrie. When I reached my home after overnight drive I was shocked to see my return location as Missisauga..toldthem many times while booking. They actually gave me specific SuUV to ne dropped at Barrie which was little extra then normal car.wasted hours calling this location and customer service was not helpful either. 2 star for better car but zero customer service.

Worst experience renting a car. Don't rent at Budget Ottawa airport. Unsafe and unreliable cars. They don't take care of the cars they rent. I got one with problems and after a couple days we changed cars and the second cars was even worse with problems in the sensors and after two days it died we had to call a tow. The tow company driver said he is constantly called for Budget cars but not so much for the others. That means something. That means they don't take care of their cars. Really unsafe cars and unreliable. Not to mention how bad the older manager treats costumers, unbelievable. Other location downtown was also rude not willing to help at all even if Budget customer service told so. It is a mess. Budget in Ottawa is horrible.

I wish that I read all the negative feedback about budget especially Ottawa Airport location, to be honest even my experience was bad, I start to feel better after read the rest of negative feedback back,I booked a class that I thought a good fit but ended up the same as the rest of others with budget response we don't have this class and either to get smaller or get other one which I have to pay 25% extra such a ripped off, you spent 10 minutes selecting your car with online booking then you will receive completely horrible car so my first advice go with better reputation company or if this not an option don't waste your time selecting the class or the car that you will never get.Again stay away if you don't want to be ripped off
