We dropped by here just to kill some time while we waited for the cannon firing demonstration and ended up being pleasantly surprised at how good the nachos were! The patio looking out to the lake/river was amazing with a cool breeze during summer days.

Had reservations for the sunset dinner, it was a very windy cold day. The couple in front of us did not have a reservation and asked to sit inside and were seated inside. When we asked to sit inside we were told there was no more room. So we were given a table on the patio in the cold wind. Then two more couples after us asked to sit inside and were promptly given tables inside.When we got our salads both mine and my wife's were full of little bugs all mixed into our salads. We told a passing waitress, who, instead of apologizing and taking the salads away, said she would tell our waiter, which she did not. We eventually got our salads switched after we tracked down our waiter.Both our main courses and deserts were good and we enjoyed them.When we eventually got our coffee/tea both our mugs were very dirty and the drinks were cold.So although the main course and the desert were good, it didn't compensate for being passed over and made to sit in the wind (when other people were given tables inside) or the bugs and dirty dishes.

Nice view. Everyone in my group liked their meal except for me. I ordered the grilled portobello with bruschetta topping. When I read bruschetta I thought it would be fresh tomatoes/garlic/basil combo. It was a stewed tomato and green pepper compote and I wasn't a fan of the flavours and the mushrooms were burned. The server noticed I didn't really eat it and I told her I wasn't a fan and she said nothing and did nothing about it. The least they should do is ask why not, instead I paid for an inedible meal (potatoes were ok). I recommend sticking with something basic like a burger, hard to mess that up.

2nd time in a month we made reservations. First time we got called 30 minutes before to say the patio would not be opening due to predicted poor weather (which did not occur but fair enough). However, made reservations again for yesterday. They did not have a table for us, tried to say they had never received a reservation call from us but when I had the hostess listen to her own message confirming our reservation she changed her story to well I am new here . . ."Poor management. So we drove 10 minutes east to The Cove Waterfront Grill - great food

Great meal. Shocked how good the food is, and the view is incredible. Shout out to server Zach. Apparently you can dine there without having to pay admission. Open May through August.

I was part of a small team who organised a special dinner for 50 guests. From start to finish, everything was made very easy for us by the Battery Bistro team. Our initial meeting with them provided all the information we needed to easily make a decision on the event venue. Our walk through the week prior to the event was extremely helpful and put our minds at rest over a number of event logistical issues.For the dinner, everything was nicely laid out and the Battery Bistro team readily adapted to the various needs of the evening's format. I received many positive comments from the guests about the staff, who were efficient and very friendly. The meals were good, reasonably priced and the flow of table service ensured everyone had a good time.I recommend Battery Bistro if you are planning a special event and want a unique, fun environment with good food and great service.
