Red Wing - Edmonton, AB

Went into this location a little under a month ago and bought slip on work boots, wore them around my house for a day or two and figured they probably aren't the most practical boot for me working in muddy conditions as they felt a little loose around the ankles. I went and exchanged them for lace ups. While exchanging them I had asked the seemingly knowledgeable employee if I had issues would I still be able to return them or exchange them. She replied saying yes as long as it's within 30 days of the original purchase. Well my right boot was not breaking in and my left one was. Not to mention the leak on the right foot but that's besides the point. So I went in with the intention of just returning them and buying something else. I spoke with a manager and she told me that you only get one exchange and I wouldn't be able to return them. After arguing with her that the employee misinformed me she still wouldn't do anything about it. I had to contact red wing directly and they will be sending me a cheque instead . The fact that the manager of the store didn't take the opportunity to make it right after spending almost $500 on boots is the reason I will no longer be shopping at red Wings. The lack of support and care for customers after purchase is absolutely disgusting . Will not be recommending red wing to anyone anymore"

Order a pair of iron ranger at retail price at this location last year. The girl told me it will take two weeks, a little over two weeks later, I called, she sounds like she forgot to place the order for me. Another two week later, I received the boot. Immediately the right boot feels much softer than the right one. After a few month wear, the entire right boot clapped if not on foot, and it literally feels like made from a lamb skin with terrible loose break. I honestly feel the quality and service shouldn’t be this bad when you spend $400+ on a pair of boot! See picture

Definitely not worth it, they do not have a lifetime warranty, you probably can buy 5 Dakotas for the same price. Said, it’s waterproof, which it’s not. Stitches came off and Leather ripped off now, won’t repair cause it’s over one year. So, why don’t you buy a regular brand and replace it after a year. They, definitely are not durable. Zero star, can’t give a star at all lol (won’t let me post without a star)

Bought boots here the other day, staff member I worked with provided almost little to no insight on what I should be looking for in a boot etc.... didn't even size my foot which I'm told is standard here. She was more concerned on going home the helping me get the right size of boot. Ended up buying too large of a boot and exchanging for a different size. The product seems good so far, but their customer service could really use some work. Make sure you are sure because once you wear them outside you cannot return them....

Had a very positive experience at this buisness, very knowledgeable and experienced staff. This was very evident from the moment I walked in! The boots seem to be of a much higher quality than the usual suspects. And they are backed with a guarantee (good luck with anywhere else). In my mind I am a huge proponent of you get what you pay for and it seems to ring true with this brand. Highly recommend if you are looking to invest in your footwear and require something more out of it....

Had my boots dipped here, went to work for 7 days and they cracked. Went back to them and they refused toneefund or re do them. Poor customer service 130 dollar wasted.

Thanks, Amy, for helping me find perfect work boots in about half an hour. You were excellent, helpful, and all with a great attitude, despite the fact that I ended up leaving (boots in hand) at exactly 7pm when you closed. I told everyone at my work about how great it was at Red Wing.

I was a fan of red wing shoes, but I will never own another pair and everyone remember the heritage line of shoes has no return policy you buy them they are yours. The shoes are way too expensive to take the risk of getting a bad fit with no return policy. I found the people in the store, not helpful and very unfriendly. Redwing stores and the Heritage line of shoes is the only store I know of that exist with no return policy. I will not own another pair of red wings ever. I have been in every red wing store across Alberta. I do not recommend this one. If you buy anything in the heritage line it is like shopping at a garage sale. This store also doesn’t know how to use a shoe stretcher. I asked them to give my shoes a little stretch and I believe they just threw the shoes in a corner until I picked them up,very bad red wing store. They told me to stretch my shoes myself lol

Had an amazing experience at this location. Very knowledgeable staff, they took the time to help me find the boot and size that was going to fit me best. Staff were very friendly and understanding.

I went in to redwing without any knowledge about the shoes. The very nice lady working named Chloe was very knowledgeable about the shoes & made my experience very enjoyable. She was very patient with me & ensured I left satisfied. I was very happy with her service & I loved the boots. I highly recommend this store and I’m positive the staff will make your day!
