Gateway Pet Memorial

Today we cremated our precious girl, Jamie. She was carefully prepared for our viewing and looked so beautiful. The care Steve took with Jamie and the kindness and compassion he showed to us made a very difficult day a little bit easier. Steve, we send you our most sincere thank you!

We had to say goodbye to our girl, Halie, at the beginning of September and our vet's office made the arrangements for us with Gateway. We also arranged with Gateway about 9 years ago for our second girl, Sky. We are incredibly happy with the service provided for both of our girls. Customer service was always helpful and prompt with any questions we had. Along with the urn, we also ordered the paw print and pendant. Everything arrived beautifully and carefully packaged and each item was perfect. We thank everyone at Gateway for treating our girls with care and respect. We definitely recommend Gateway for your pet's aftercare. Losing your loved one is so difficult but they make you feel at peace knowing your pet is in good hands.

The paw print we received from Gateway was more than twice the size of our small dog's foot. There is no way they gave us the footprint of our dog. The paw print must have been from at least a medium sized dog. Very disappointing when you want a memento of your beloved pet. We are not the only ones to experience this, there are several other reviews of the same issue on google and facebook. We paid extra for the private cremation. We have no way of confirming if Gateway actually followed through with this request given they couldn't be bothered to even footprint the correct dog. All we can do is hope the urn we received holds our dogs ashes. In the future, we will use a smaller pet memorial service that cares about it's clients unlike this large corporation that is clearly focused on profits and not respecting the pets or their owners.

I recently had to say goodbye to my heart-dog, Lilah. Thank you, Gateway, for the beautiful engraved charm and the urn. It has made the grieving process easier to have her remains at home with me, and to have a bit of her to take with me wherever I go as well.

If you’re looking for a company that’s going to make a terrible situation worse, this is where to go. They employ idiots who are unable to read and follow instructions. My kids are devastated. Gateway had traumatized my family. How many other family’s lives has this company ruined because the staff cannot read? Obviously there isn’t anyone making sure things are done properly and to the customers request. Also, if you look at the responses from Gateway to the customers they have screwed over or given the wrong item to, they are heartless and don’t care. All they want is your money.Gateway, you are disgusting!

I ordered a custom urn that cost close to $250 and I'm very disappointed that it came in less than perfect condition. In one of the corners it looks like a piece of the wood was striped off and it's the first thing I notice when I look at it. This is something important & special and for $250 it should have come in perfect condition.

I don’t know what heartless monster at Gateway made this decision but I broke down into tears while confirming my pets aftercare today. To give some context I had to put my brothers cat Joey down on July 19, 2021. We requested that we get some ink paw print paper copies in case he wanted to get a tattoo or any artwork done afterwards. We paid $40 and he got six beautiful paper copies of his paws as the ink gets lighter so they all look a little different (in a good way). On June 5, 2022 I had to put my cat Missy down, today as I was ordering her memorial items I wanted to clarify that I get a lot of ink copies of her paw print so I have options to choose from as they had done for my brother only last summer. I was informed by the vet clinic that Gateway had recently changed their policy with the ink paw prints and now only offer to do one solid print and they raised the price to $46. I was forced to order three to ensure I would have some kind of variation. This is gross and disgusting way of making profit off of people in an emotional state and grieving the loss of a best friend and family member. If they had simply raised the price to $46 but you still received around six pieces of paper with prints that would be acceptable but instead I am paying almost 4x the amount for three pieces of paper with one paw print each. The process and policy they had in place before giving owners as many prints as possible until the ink fades out on their paw was fair and dignified. This is not.

I got a custom urn & paw print from Gateway & I cannot express how grateful I am for the services they provided for me. They handled the situation with such care & I couldn’t imagine these pieces being any better. I will cherish these items forever. Thank you so so much.

I don’t know which location helped Memphis, but these guys and the people at Richview Animal Hospital went above and beyond.Saturday March 11th, i put Memphis down. The single most toughest thing I’ve ever doneOriginally I didn’t think I wanted his ashes, I though his colllar and name tag would be enough.By Monday I greatly regretted this and I needed him back.Emailing the clinic, they told me he was just picked up, and that the Gateway was closed.But working together they held Memphis for me, and I was able to get him back homeI’m truly gratefulThe only thing I wishIs that there was a payment plan/ instalmentsComing up with near 1K on short notice was a colossal painBut worth itThank you again, for everything

Very happy with the clay paw print of our Sammy. He was a big boy and I wasn't sure what to expect. It's perfect. Pleased with the way everything was carefully boxed and bagged. Nice free engraving on his cedar box too. The care taken really means a lot to us in such a hard time. Thank you so much.
