The staff are wonderful and are willing to give you real information on anything they can they also are fully willing to work with you and make you feel comfortable while you're there. They fully understand that it is a big life altering decision when dealing with HIV.

It was awful,,the staff openly discriminated against me....at the time I was on welfare and I admitted I had done drugs before....20 yrs ago..that's all they cared about..they were very rude and uncaring...they didn't care about my viral load, didn't care I am sick and feel like vomiting every day...they didn't care I'd taken interferon for a year and it failed (however it brought my viral load to zero from over 1250 000 particles of hep c in my blood) they didn't care I did another year of interferon with another drug called bocifer.(again viral load dropped to zero) and I felt well for quite some time...lost my wife second time around, terrible side effects. They jus didn't care...all they cared about is if I was using drugs which I haven't. All they had to do is check my blood..they took several viles..doh..however the nurse who did my intake disclosed too me that someone there likes to call the MTO an get ur licence pulled if u do say u do drugs...very bad experience when I went..I suffer daily n am seeking an advocate for future visits..after all....its the only place in Durham..they decide who lives n who dies.....apparently I'm not worthy......

This medical office is simply the best ongoing medical care experience I have ever had. The main doctor I speak with is approachable, practical in advice, direct, and has great bedside manner. I almost never do online research at this point because this office is so well informed and practical that it just cuts through the noise. They have surprised me several times and they have still managed to instill an incredible amount of confidence in me. This is very unusual for me when it comes to any type of medical treatment. The nurses are great and instill confidence. I am sure that if brought a question to them that they did not know the answer to they would move it up the line.Kathy the secretary has been accommodating, very friendly, and patient with me. I struggle with keeping appointments due to a health condition and she has always worked with me in a way that leaves me feeling comfortable. Top shelf lady. Top shelf care.I am so sad reading the review from 5 years ago. I hope that person is still with the clinic and getting better care now. What they describe is the furthest from my experience. I am a recovering addict and they are fully aware of my previous drug use and it was never given any more attention than one would hope it would. A historical record. And that's all.
