I was recently in need of a “really fast solution” to my pet re-homing situation. I had to move within three weeks – no animals allowed. I had three cats and a large dog. I found Oasis Pet Rescue on the pet ads in Craigslist, and my problems where solved within the week. I love the ladies that work at this loving pet needs business. I forwarded information about my pets likes/dislikes/needs and received a few updates – putting my mind at ease.Adopting a full-grown cat from Oasis Pet Rescue (to me) is far better than getting a kitten. These older cats are already themselves and they are very grateful. Its like a new friend moving in and getting to know each other is such a pleasure. It’s true that the animals do not live in a kennel, or cage, at any cold warehousing locations – they are well taken care of by people in normal, comfortable homes, being loved while they await their “new beautiful life”. I have since volunteered to foster kitties, while they wait for their “forever homes”.I’ve seen some negative reviews on line and don’t understand their, experience compared to mine.

I've had several different animals all my life, even studied animal health science in College in The Netherlands for 3 years and worked as a veterinarian technician in The Netherlands... when I moved to Canada I had my own Rottweiler kennel for several years here in Canada, where I trained and showed my dogs in showrings all throughout Ontario at official Canadian Kennel Club dog shows, where we won several times and I would sell top quality pups..but i got told in an email from Oasis that i couldnt take care of the cats that i showed interest in...Thank you for leaving me that message, it made me look even harder for a cat coming from a very nice couple who did believe i was the best suitable for taking care of her and she's living her best senior years with me...So my advice to the public; don't take no for an answer, Oasis aren't the only people that has animals looking for a home.. there are lots of families that can't keep their pet for whatever reason, contact those families and give their pet a good home

I don't know exactly what this organization does. I had two guinea pigs that I needed rehomed after my pig had babies and needed out before they are able to reproduce again, but they want $25 per pig to put an ad on their website. I thought they would house them and rehome but I guess that's not how they operate. To get $25 per pig and them charge an adoption fee of $40 per pig for the adopetee all payable to them does not make any sense to me. A $65 profit for each guinea pig to just advertise the pet on their site when you could advertise it yourself for free. I would have no problem giving them money if it went for animal care but they seemingly have no involvement with the pet at all. I asked them in email to explain this process to me and got no response other than we wish you luck. What a pointless organization.Edit. Yes Wendi made the decision to re-home the pets herself because this organization literally does nothing in terms of caring for the pets (as many other google reviews have also stated) and are nothing more than a very expensive kijiji and make a profit of $65 (for adoption paper apparently) per guinea pig and have no involvement with the animal whatsoever, and claim to be 'non profit'. This is a joke.

5/18 @6:32pm -Very disappointed, I’m inquiring about a cat again, this time “Charles”, I was given a last email with a happy face that they will be in touch with me as I’m interested in this cat. Today, I’m second on the list, I’ve spoke to Daphne on the phone from the office was a little abrupt by saying “well we can certainly move you down the list if you are not happy” and used the word “pissed!!!!Most likely with today’s conversation and this review ..I will not get this cat…but this place and other people need to know and have the right know and express how they feel as the expectations were not properly set from the beginning.Try to express your point of view and you loose any chance, if any, to the pet you are after!!!5/18 @7:44pm- Following to the below response from this organization, I have asked all the questions and with them before!!! NOT THE FIRST TIME!!!Now Janet has removed my application!!! WOW!!!!!!They say that they feel bad…but they don’t!!!5/18 @8:26am - THE BULLYING NOW STILL CONTINUES WITH JANET!!!I can share all email communications with anyone!!!!!!!LADIES & GENTS…if this place turns you down all of the sudden is the way they work!!! NO WARNINGS!!!RUN!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not so much of a review as an observation.I was looking for somewhere to adopt a kitty but will definitely not being adopting from here. One red flag that stands out to me though is the reviews which discuss Janet as a not very nice individual. But the biggest flag is the responses from the Oasis owner which may be this Janet but never seems to have the courage to identify herself by name. When the owner responds to a negative review it is not a response but a passive aggressive attack. Commenting on ppl being troubled" and eluding to mental health issues.True or not absolutely not professional to post in response. It is vicious and suggests the statements are valid.UPDATE case in point. Lol"

Oasis helped us find a home for a cat that we were fostering in record time. The people working at Oasis truly care about the animals and it shows. They are passionate and ensure that the pet is a good fit for the new owner. They filter and qualify new owners to make sure they are ready to offer a forever home for the pet, that is why there are so many bad reviews :)
