We were expecting a buffet but were told that it wouldn’t be until Father’s Day so we ordered off the menu. Most of the dishes were excellent with the exception of the chicken wings which we sent back. The manager came out and offered us another dish of the same value which we ordered. When we paid the bill we not only paid for the additional dish but also the bad wings. Seems to me when you are offered a replacement dish the initial dish should be cancelled from your bill. I didn’t notice until after we left that we had been charged for all dishes including the bad wings that we sent back.

The service here is second-to-none: they have even gone so far as to re-stock 80% of the buffet when my family arrived slightly after buffet hours on a slow day. Wonderful staff!!The food here is good; I prefer a slightly wider variety in a buffet, but there's nothing wrong with a simpler selection in a small town - and you can always order off the menu if the buffet doesn't offer your preferences.The atmosphere is quaint; small town, polite, quiet, clean - no complaints whatsoever.A good spot to stop and 'refuel' !!

I really enjoyed our meal at this establishment. My family and I had a wonderful time. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of the age and old musty smell of the restaurant. If you can manage the smell of the old building head on in and enjoy some really good food. Oh, and you won't be disappointed at the food portions. They are large and yummy.

We come to Cypress Hills in August every year, then we come here one day for supper. I’m not too sure if we will be coming back every year, though. The staff are nice so no complaints about that. Food is great too. There was miscommunication with what was ordered. Instead of Junior beef and vegetables, we got junior ginger beef, which would be okay, but we also ordered a dinner for two which included everything that was in the junior ginger beef. We also had a dirty knife with the place setting. Overall, if you’re looking for Chinese and in the area, come here but don’t expect anything too grand
