Poor service!!I have to pay and wait more than 4 months, and I still don't receive my mortgage discharge letter!!!Oct 5th, 2021 -> Went to the branch and get my mortgage discharged done. Told the discharge letter will be mailed to my home address within 2 months.Dec 3rd, 2021 -> Still didn't receive the discharge letter. Sent email asking for an update.Dec 6th, 2021 -> Reply from the bank. The charge from BMO is completely deleted in the title search. But I won't receive the discharge letter at least 3 to 4 weeks due to holidays season.Jan 10th, 2022 -> Still didn't receive the discharge letter. Sent email asking for an update.Jan 14th, 2022 -> Received a PDF file stating the charge from BMO has been discharged. Yes. A PDF file like covid-19 certificate that you can easily modify. So I insist of getting the BMO discharge letter like any other customers. (This is also the discharge process that their branch manager has told me before)Jan 27th, 2022 -> The bank said they will work with their back office to get my discharge letter and it will take 1 to 2 weeks. In order to prevent mail lost, I offer to pick up the letter at the branch.Feb 16th, 2022 -> Still didn't receive the discharge letter or any reply. Sent email asking for an update.Feb 17th, 2022 -> The bank replied Sorry for late reply. The discharge department said cannot generate any other copy of discharge confirmation as the property title search PDF is already the most official one"!"

Edit: Came with my wife to open an account with her. I stand by my 1 star review from before. Asked to open an account at the front teller, at which point the front teller collected all the information from my wife. Afterwards, we were directed to speak with a desk representative inside an office, at which point the SAME information was asked of my wife again. It just felt like a big waste of time to collect the same information twice. Not to mention all while holding up a line while we were at the front of the desk and there were only 2 tellers working.Very poor service. I tried calling two days in a row both directly to the general branch line and directly to the representative line, and I always get directed to voicemail. I left a detailed message and number for them to call back, but they have not called back.

With COVID19, I understand why there is a line up... but there needs to be extended hours to accommodate the slower pace.My service with Tian was wonderful! She is professional, understanding, and patient with my needs. She responds promptly through email too.I feel like the furniture in this branch is extremely outdated. I would have also wanted a bit more privacy when I was with the financial advisor (as of now, they have cubicles). I would have felt more comfortable with a closed door.I would have felt safer if the chairs are plastic and are wiped down every customer too.

I have been banking with BMO and various other banks for the last 25 year and have dealt with some good people, however Brian Chung at BMO Time Square Branch takes customer service to the next level. What an absolute gentleman. I go there all the time, and while waiting to be helped I have watched how he treats everyone. He make clients feel like they are the only client BMO has. He is amazing. In fact all the staff are great at this branch.

I was there to deposit cash.It was closed, and the ATM inside Time Square was locked inside.There is another one out at he curbside. I was waiting for the customer there to finish her transaction.Then came my turn. I put bills into the deposit slot. It counted and the number of bills and total amount were correct. I press Continue". It returned the money to me with the message saying "Please remove your items". I tried a couple more times

Worst banking experience, BMO telephone service is terrible, always direct customer to the branch for little things such as getting help for access documents from online banking. And the branch advisor is not willing to spend time with you, and seems they are extremely busy with other stuff, and not sure why they have the appointment available if they are not free. And it takes forever for the advisor to get back to you on calls or emails, seems they just disappeared or gone from the bank. Anyways, going to close down BMO accounts, not worth my time.

I opened my account at BMO today, I m extremely satisfied with Brian's help. He was super friendly, treated me like a wealth customer, which I never experienced with my current bank. Brian is very knowledgeable on investment products. Even though today I opened an bank account. But definitely I will transfer my assets to BMO and Investorline and refer friends and family to BMO.BMO need to hire more staff like Brian!

This review is only going to be about my experience with Brian, a teller from the front desk - he is an absolute superstar and exactly what perfect customer service is. I wanted to cancel a credit card and didn't want to wait two hours on hold over the phone, so I walked into a branch. He told me that normally you're supposed to call the number on the back of the credit card, but he'll put in a request to see if they accept it (he did tell me ahead of time that it's a 50/50 if they accept or not). At the same time, I also notified him that a previously cancelled credit card had cashback of $2 on it and BMO kept sending me statements (it takes $5 to take out the money online). He put in a second request for me to get the money back. The entire conversation for both requests took less than 10 minutes.He personally called me less than a week later (3-4 business days) to tell me that both requests went through and I don't have to be on hold for two hours!! You're #1 in my books, Brian - you deserve a bonus/raise!
