Lovely trails and sights, feels like a different city with all the boats and maritime architecture. Splash park for kids and lots of beach area to walk or sit down and have a picnic.

It's a beautiful area to spend a day. It's always busy. Absolute gem! Almost has a vacation vibe with beaches, marina, lighthouses, beach houses, waterfront park. Really enjoyed the fresh air, lakeviews, pathways and water quality is good as well. The area is well clean and well kept. It's a fantastic way to connect with nature and boost your mood. You can see the pickering nuclear power plant close by as you walk along the shore. There are lot of boats around here. Also there is a broadwalk area to visit. Few stores along the drive up. Also there are few restaurants by the lake. For those interested in capturing pictures you can get the awesome scenic sunrise and sunset with a view of a lake. For those coming from the Go station it’s a beautiful 20 minutes walking by lovely houses. If you’re driving, there’s a free parking lot on the left side (close to the beach). The beach has excellent facilities such as washrooms and picnic area. It’s an unsupervised swimming area, be careful and you will enjoy a perfect day!

On Victoria Day morning, the weather was beautiful. Strolled to the lighthouse and back. Then went to the beach and took the Alex Roberson Park loop. It was about 5km. The place is getting busier day by day. Parking was not an issue at present. Enjoyed the walk and scenery.

Beautiful place to go for a lovely walk or bike ride with friends, family or a date night. Lots of open beach to swim or play in, beautiful views and friendly people. Play ground with splash pad, swings and play structures for the kids too. Lots of picnic tables, benches and sandy space to enjoy.

It’s a perfect spot to spend your evening as you get to see scenic sunset and amazing view of the lake. Parking is limited but there’s some off street spots available as I saw. Public washrooms are there but closed due to Covid time. There are a few restaurants by the lake. It’s a beautiful and well maintained place and a must visit! Captured some photos while walking along the lakeshore.

In the summer on Thursdays they have free music. Bring your own chair. The parking can get a bit crowded and the paid parking is enforced even on weekends. If you don't mind a stroll, parking in the ball fields kinsmen parks is an option.
