You can't complete the whole loop of the trail because it is completely washed out when you get to the water. It does bring you to a very nice beach. If the beach isn't washed out you can walk it and eventually find your way back to the trail.

We went even further till the trial at the point turned into waves and the lake.. amazing snakes and different species of amphibians and even deer crashing through the forest but never quite seen...

Great trail for birds, insects, and vegetation. Lots of mosquitos today but also lots of Dragon flies as they migrate south. The monarchs were plentiful and magical at the tip! Even this late in the season. We always see something new or intriguing on this trail. Today we counted 8 raptors outside of the usual turkey vultures and finished the day with deer walking through the parking lot. ALWAYS do a TICK check before getting in the car in this park!
