Global Pet Foods Halifax

Shopped here last Sunday, July 2nd. I had my small dog, whom I had to carry. I had to carry a large bag of N&D dog food to the counter, as the three staff members stood behind the sales counter and peered out onto the parking lot. I then had to drop the bag on the counter, and go retrieve a large bag of cat food.They finally offered to help me out to my car, but I didn't want to keep them from staring out the window.I won't go back. Many other pet stores with exceptional customer service.

The products they sell are good, prices are high, but this true for the whole pet industry and there is nothing we can do about it.For this particular store, be careful with the staff. I was told about a promotion of some of the brands they sell, and a week later when I went to the store to get the promotion, (an additional packge which was ordered) it was denied because it appeared to be not in this promotion, and there is no matter what I was told and ordered before. That caused me a serious frustration. Anyway, just be careful and double check everything the staff tells you - I saw them a bit off and not aware of what they sell. I suspect that my 12y.o. daughter knows more about the products they sell. I am very disappointed from this store and likely will avoid it for the future.

The employees in this store were always very helpful to my friend that has a guide dog as she is visually impaired, until today. She was hardly in the door and one employee was very rude about her not wearing a mask. She did not ask politely for her to wear one. My friend explained that she can't wear one when she is mobile and the clerk just said you have to wear one or leave". This has never happened in this store before. My friend left after a few choice words (rightfully so) and I explained to the clerk that if she has a mask on when she is mobile she could fall. Would the store want a lawsuit on their hands if this happened

Great variety of food and pet products. Friendly staff. Very easy to access

Lovely staff. Well stocked. They have products other pet stores don't. But they also have the Staples. Also, a beautiful cat!

Wonderful selection of food including fresh frozen, high end natural ingredients. I would say food is their strong suit. And, customer service is not, unless you're a friend. I had to wait to pay, with my arms full and a bum knee, for way too long, while the one cashier spoke with one individual who was paying and the other register was closed but the staff guy behind it laughed it up with friends. Prices are average to high.

Consistently a good pet store. I like the buy 12 get one free thing. Staff usually seems bored but in a way I enjoy the consistent experience everytime

I was the first hire and then manager of this place, it's amazing to see how it's grown from 2004!!!

They have a large variety of pet foods. Staff are somewhat knowledgeable of the food products...however I would suggest do the research yourself if you want 100 percent correct information. I was misinformed about something I was told about a certain brand of dog food..something they said just didn't seem right...I fact checked and they were greatly wrong.....They will bring in dog food if they don't offer the brand or specific flavour in the store. The bag of food I bought in Alberta is 12.00 more per bag in Halifax..I don't usually care about pricing but I thought this was a lot..They do offer toys and pet clothes

We love Global. It was our go to pet store in Ontario so I am glad they are here in NS too. We recently bought a harness that was a bit too big for our girl, and the staff in the store were really helpful making recommendations and allowing us to try different styles and sizes on her to find the right one. When we didn't like the colours available, they gave us more options and we were able to order the right size in a different colour. They were also really understanding that our dog can be fearful, and were really patient with her (and us!) While we got everything sorted out. Thank you!!
