I tried the chicken fried rice from this newly owned restaurantand it was amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the portion size was generous, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Soup dumplings had tasty filling. The eggplant dish was tasty but wish it was spicier. The chili oil is yellow and not spicy. Over all flavors were good. The lady serving us was very kind and attentive.

Protip: order the special fish". They will know. They do it quite well and the sauce is savory and delicious.Went to this restaurant with someone who was actually from Shanghai. She thinks it's okay but I enjoyed it. One item was 3*

Had a wonderful family dinner here last night, service was great and friendly, food prepared fresh. The aunty will chat with everyone it feels like being a guest at someones house.We tried a lot of their dishes and everything was delicious, the soup dumpling were good but would have been better if the skin was thinner (comparing it to Din Tai Fung which is the best xiao long bao I have tried)We also ordered from the special menu and it was both awesome, beef stew and rice wine fish. From the regular menu we ordered and enjoyed the crispy beef ginger, mapo tofu, shanghai special soup, pan fried noodles and the bbq chicken with sauce.This is a very good family run chinese restaurant with authentic flavours and unique dishes that are not your run of the mill westernised chinese food, highly recommended!

Has been our go-to Chinese restaurant in the South End for YEARS! The owner is absolutey awesome. She has watched my son grow up from age 5 to 12 and always gives him something special. Food is delicious, hot, and flavourful. Will continue going back over and over and over....

Ordered for pick up. Very pleasant people that’s for sure and the restaurant itself looked very nice. . But it was green pea overload- like frozen green peas. . Ordered sweet and sour pork- did not taste like sweet and sour pork at all and a lot of green peas in it, Sesame chicken-green peas, beef with black bean- green peas. I guess they were using it as a filler? Maybe an off night? But Unfortunately won’t be going there again because of it.

Food 1 star, service 5 stars, atmosphere 3 stars, so that’s why I put 3 stars at the end. The owner of restaurant has changed for only 1 month, so all the previous reviews don’t count. Although the new owner is very nice and kind, I need to put a just review, hope the food side could improve by time. They said would add more content in menu soon. As a Chinese, the food now I would not go again unfortunately, but if the food improves, then I will visit due to the service is very good.

Simple Chinese restaurant with wonderful taste. Best Steamed Soup Dumplings in Winnipeg. The pan fried dumplings are really good too. Owner is very friendly and always happy to see you and vet accommodating. Fast service too.
