The Georgian Clapham
Such a charming restaurant, the setting is cosy and the attention to detail is great, down to the choice of cutlery and china. It's also great with something a bit different on a high street that sometimes isn't the most varied. The food is wonderful, very fresh and portions are generous. They have a number of Georgian bread available too, delicious! And the drink list, from wine to beer and avec, is so interesting with a great variety of beverages from Georgia.

One of the loveliest dining experience in London! The owner’s friend, a lovely Georgian lady, saw I was by myself and came to chat and told me a lot about Georgian food. Really sweet! Food had an incredible flavor and definitely recommend trying Georgian alcohol once in a lifetime!

The Georgian Clapham
Lunch here was underwhelming. The food itself was very tasty. But £12 for cheese bread and a 40 minute wait was excessive. The quality is good though, so I took a couple of cakes to warm up at home later with my partner.Service was fine- the guy was friendly and offered to help where required. The lady who may be the manager (certainly acted as if she owned the place) did warn the food could take a while (20mins). When I questioned the delay after paying, I was told it can take a while but the 40 minutes could not be explained. I feel maybe they forgot my order since the table behind me got the same item 5 minutes later despite arriving a while after I ordered. A different lady was apologetic and offered to refund service which I refused and she said she’d provide a free coffee next time.I think the food is delicious but clearer expectation management, communication and a more competitive price point would improve things. I also think making it clear what wasn’t available when you get your menu would be a good idea as one of their cheaper lunch options wasn’t available. Maybe just a small cake next time!

Nice discovery on a rainy afternoon. Such a cozy place with really nice atmosphere. Wide variety of yummy pastries and cakes. Excellent for a brunch or a meeting with friends. Or just with a book. A bit more pricey than I expected.

I will say this, me leaving a review this days is an act of appreciation toward whoever runs the establishment in which I choose to try out and when I feel there is a combination of care, genuine effort and pride in whatever they are doing and how they run it. I’ve tried the pork dumplings and spicy pork stew accompanied by a red dry wine. A slice of custard cream tart which is actually better for breakfast or tea . I’m generally weary of Eastern European eateries in general. The first high point: quiet unpretentious and reasonably priced , very close to the south clapham tube station. Silent and present one only waiter girl. Very low volume soft music in the background. Food is good home made and warm and full of genuine flavours of herbs meat and I dare say I still when to meet at JT person whom doesn’t like dumplings. Here are gigantic and one dish of them is enough to fill one man. Total praise and approval .

A small gem on the corner of Clapham Manor Road. Very pretty interior and amazing service. The waiter is a man called Bici, absolutely lovely. He is very good at recommending the best foods to try and extremely friendly. This makes the experience of dining here easy going and inviting. I ordered the Qotnis Labio and it was amazing. It is very filling, you could just order only this and be satisfied. So many great flavours, I was not a fan of the Rye bread (it is quite dry) but the meal is fantastic. - It's also Vegan. The vegan chocolate cheesecake is also really nice, very dense and compliments a herbal tea very well.
