The service here was very good. Evan spent well over an hour with me to decided and find all the parts for a gaming rig I wanted to build. Stock was there for everything I needed. Even took the time to open a few things to make sure nothing was damaged in shipping. Overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend checking this computer store out. They have all the current stock we are looking for!

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately they do not run a business very well. If i could give negative stars i would. I will never use this company again, in my opinion they are NOT competent. I will drive to Vancouver in the future. I dropped off a old not working so well mini hard drive to retrieve what information they could and also dropped off a newer Desktop hard drive to transfer the information onto. I was told it would take a few days and i would receive daily updates. After almost a week i called them and they still had not even looked at it yet . After another week they stated it was being looked at and yes it was damaged, ah yeh i already knew this.I gave instructions to take what information they could off the old hard drive and transfer all the information onto the Desk top hard drive, they were told the desk top drive had valuable confidential information on it. They stated they understand. After picking it with a we did our best and transferred some data onto the desk top. What this company did was directly copy and paste all the info from the old hard drive onto the desk top drive and ERASED 95% of all the valuable information i had on the desk top drive.10 YEARS OF SAVED COMPANY DATA GONE. TRUST LOST. I instructed the company to retrieve all my data they had deleted by fault of their own, again they wanted a few days, i was away for 2 weeks and left them to repair it, and NO PHONE CALLS on how it was going, i finally called 3 weeks into this. the data could not be retrieved, and was told every excuse found, my desk top drive was damaged and they could not retrieve the old info i had saved for over 10 years. FUNNY IT WORKED FINE ACTUALLY PERFECT BEFORE I TOOK IT IN.They stated they could transfer all the info they originally copied over (blank folders) to the Desk top hard drive onto another hard drive, (hmm sales pitch) but all the previous DATA WAS GONE. WHY WOULD A COMPANY OVERWRITE AN EXISTING HARD DRIVE FULL OF INFO WITH INFORMATION FROM A DIFFERENT HARD DRIVE. I have lost over 10 years of saved company, business data i collected over all these years and all they say is sorry. Reading all other comments on here i am sure they will counter with many excuses to put the blame on the equipment or me. At Least i have some of that info backed up. Oh and the old mini not working so well hard drive, i was with help and time able to retrieve most of the data. Negative 1 star.

Worst service ever.I broke the screen on my cell phone and ordered the part from Coast Computers. My phone still worked fine so I put-off taking it in to get fixed. The replacement screen was sitting in their store for a long time. They told me it would only take about an hour to do the job, and said just bring it in when you get a chance. Fine. Then one day my phone stopped taking a charge; I thought it was the mini-USB port... so I took my phone in and asked them to do the screen job and check out the port. Fine. They told me that the new mini-USB part would take a week to come in and since my phone wasn't charging, it was no use to me, and I left it with them and asked them to keep me informed of the progress. Every week thereafter, I called and asked them if the part was in and whether I could get my phone back. Nothing.I am self employed and my phone is a total necessity to my business. Well, after more than 3 weeks of leaving messages and not hearing back, I began to get upset. Finally I just walked in to the store that was opened 1 hour each day, 4 days a week, and I demanded my phone back and the part that I had already paid for.I ended up watching a YouTube video and doing the job myself. It took me 3 hours to dismantle, clean, and reassemble the phone; and it worked perfectly. The cause of the phone NOT taking a charge was due to lint and sawdust getting stuck in the mini-USB port. IF they had BOTHERED to inspect the phone they would have figured this out. Instead, they wanted to charge me (I asked) $23.00 for a new mini-USB port... You can buy this exact part; 10 ports for $9.99, OR 20 ports for $14.99 on eBay! so imagine, a place that fixes phones not having a $1 part in stock. So essentially, they had my phone and it cost me, God only knows how much money in lost work, because of a dirty port in a phone with a broken but functional screen, that could have been fixed in a few hours...WAY TO GO, COAST COMPUTERS! thanks for nothing.

This was a very very long time ago (think Napster days), but we had a tower in which we wanted more storage or ram installed...can't remember which. Barry came, spent most of his time on the phone with another customer, charged us for the full amount of time, and left without putting our tower back together. The cover and screws were on the floor. The installation was fine, but we were obviously second-class customers. I worked at the time for a company that used his services, and they got excellent service.

This is the best place on the Coast for computer repair. My computer is in being repaired right now, but my first experience with them was amazing. I’m happy to find them again. Pretty much all the other places here for computer repair over charge and aren’t that friendly. These guys are fair and much nicer. I will travel all the way from HMB for their service. Not sure why they would have any bad reviews tbh. But can’t please everyone I guess

Wonderful store, has pretty cool collectable items on top of services and computers.I have gotten my phone fixed here samsung note 8 rear camera and camera lens on top of replacing the lens I was offered things I had no idea about Steve managed to get me a tempered glass cover to go over my camera so I dont crack it again.(which I had no idea existed UPDATE: the tempered glass has still been holding up about a year later)I have also gotten my PS3, and PS4 fixed here.Reasonable price on the repairs was thrilled that they were able to revive my PS3!!Lastly Steve has also fixed my laptop, and wifes laptop turned both of our slow computers to fast ones using SSD's.Lastly I cant thank the store enough for helping me build my gaming desktop, especially in the busy holiday season they got it built right before christmas. Thanks so much for squeezing me in last moment.Next is my nintendo 64, it won't turn on see you guys soon!

Been to alot of repairs shops on the coast and Vancouver. This store has been the friendliest, and most knowledgeable that I have dealt with.My overall experience was great, unfortunately the wait time was a little longer than anticipated. (Not their fault though)They explained to me the shipping times were longer due to covid which I understood as the field I work in right now is struggling with the same issue. :(Overall thanks Coast Computers.Hopefully the mail services works it self out soon! Good luck guys.

Very friendly and helpful. My laptop got water damaged and went dark, but I could buy a cheap replacement in the usa in just 3 weeks. He got it working for just 80 dollars to get me through versus spending on full repairs. It's great to be given options.

Don’t take your electronics here. They do terrible work. Took my I phone in to get a new battery and back glass. By the time they were done they had smashed the screen, scratched the camera lens cover so I can’t take photos and the ear microphone doesn’t work so I have to take calls on speakerphone now. To top of off they want more money to repair the items on the phone they broke. A big disappointment for sure.*EDIT:* 4 days later my battery stopped charging so I ended up having to get a new phone as well.
