Firstly, service was amazing! We had a new waitress who was very lovely and was always around when something was (very rarely) needed! The food was some of the best I've had In a VERY long time! I as well as 4 other guests had their 3 course tasting menu, I had gotten the their deconstructed caeser salad which had the most amazing dressing but was more like a vinaigrette! Absolutely delicious! Then the Riley steak which was also very good. I had originally ordered the creme Brule for my dessert but when they had told me they sold out the chef offered a surprise dessert that was beyond delicious. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area, will be coming back!

After a week of eating basic pub food three times a day for nearly a week, some small part of you (bowels, perhaps) may say, ‘be responsible’. Look no further on this side of the island, as it seems the owner had the foresight to curate a proper wine list, menu, variety of island ingredients. There was local knowledge, little bit of history, and tours to the dining room by the chef. The butter was fantastic. Had the pork with duck fat and a properly paired wine - a very hard ‘yes’ on the use of thyme/rosemary. Partridge berry IS lingonberry, which is quite nice in a dessert. No, I’m not writing a review which says: ‘there was no other choice’; rather I’m writing that ‘there was no other choice and it was actually noteworthy and worth a detailed review’.

Amazing dinner. Arrived pretty late at 1 hour before closing and they attended to us immediately and got the food out quickly. Super delicious and highly recommend.

After a week of overcooked seafood this was a refreshing change..excellent, perfectly cooked very fresh mussels in a tomato garlic sauce for a very reasonable price. A nice little amuse bouche of salt cod bandade. Chefs special was a panko crusted baked cod, again cooked perfectly (as in, just cooked through, fresh and juicy. Rib eye was cooked just as ordered with a rich demi.

Opening night for Season 2022. Excellent service, great margaritas and Chef Todd was welcoming. We had the lobster bisque (super delicious) and I had the catch of the day (cod done in some kind of delicious creaming lightly spiced cream). Completely recommend this restaurant for the food. During high season, reservations recommended.

A nice dining experience in the area to round out our visit at Gros Morne. We were glad we found this place for a proper meal after days of sandwiches and pub food. Food was a little bit on the expensive side but it was well worth it. My halibut was done to the perfection, tender and moist. The best part was that it was served with the skin! My partner also enjoyed his pork loin stuffed with duck. They also have vegetarian (vegan) options! Drinks were great and quite cheap on the other hand. Good ambiance and service overall. If I could make one tiny suggestion… is to have a little bit more salad in the smoked shrimp and scallop salad. Make sure to call ahead to make a reservation.

Honestly probably the best meal I had on my whole trip. Service was great. Food even better. Overall really good food. Got the special of the day which was seafood pasta and some crab cakes to start. The crab cakes were amazing I could’ve eaten 10 of them. The seafood pasta was amazing as well.

The waiting staff was rude. They did not know the contents of the charcuterie board or the specials. They were slow and did not check in for needs in terms of drinks, more bread or how the meals were. Poor wine list and cocktails. The seafood pasta and orange creme brule were excellent. The charcuterie board was bland and unimaginative with canned chutney. The mystery meats were better left as mysteries. The ambience was dated with very bright lights and unlit table candles. If you know what to order and can ignore the wait staff, I think it could be a good experience.
