The Shipyards

So beautiful any time of day and any time of year. The restaurants, shops and sometimes pop-up markets and outdoor entertainment make this a place to return to.

It's a beautiful place to hangout with friends and family or even alone!! I take the seabus from the Waterfront and the journey is so beautiful from the Waterfront to the Lonsdale quay. There are several restaurants, benches and summer activities. Weekends are more lively. There are a lots of open area to walk around and admire the city line of Vancouver and downtown buildings.

Very nice experience. We went to the little summer outdoor market (Saturday) that was set up there and bought a few things. Then walk through the shipyards, and on to the Quay Market. I was sorry though that the elephant ears place was no longer there, as that was the main reason for us even going to the Quay, and also that there was no fish market. I miss the old things that made it really special. Although we did truly enjoy our food at the Brazilian place as well as the pork and pierogies that we got at this meat market. Oh my gosh how delicious were they. We also went home with a couple of ham hocks. The two guys working at the customer service booth were both just awesome, and added a really great flavor and a good laugh for our day. Overall it was still a great experience.

A great place for the whole family. There are lot of restaurants, coffee shops and shops.You can enjoy the view of downtown Vancouver. The sunset there is nice. The whole area is good for a stroll any time.There will be beer garden, food trucks and market on Friday and Saturday night in summer.There are also has a big area for kids. It's a water park in summer and skate in winter.

A quiet and cozy place with a very beautiful view of downtown and West Vancouver, North Vancouver and the coastline. It's great for walking. You can also enjoy shopping at the market and food shop. It has a great view and atmosphere.

There is no ticket to enter, beautiful place to visit, enjoy waterfront through walk Bridge.

Great place to wander and enjoy views if the Vancouver skyline. Tasty treats wait in the market, lots of great restaurants and cafés. Skating in the winter with cozy fire pits to enjoy hot drinks around. Definitely can spend an entire afternoon or evening, especially if you take in a stroll along the waterfront trail too.

Shipyard has become one of the most vibrant and fun places in Vancouver area. You have one of the best views of the Vancouver skyline. The city is very active organizing events for every age group during all seasons. Ice skating in the winter and live music in the summer, food trucks and the local markets makes this place very attractive for tourists and local residents. Respect to the city staff keeping this area safe, clean and active all year round.

I've lived in Vancouver for more than 30 years and never knew The Shipyards existed! What a wonderful place! Loved the live music and the whole vibe. This is a place to take your out-of-town visitors.
